We have a Vendor account that sells through our site.

I have previously set up a stripe account.

I clicked the button to set up stripe.

Provided the login information, and stripe responded,”yoursite.com wants to connect to your stripe account.” I click okay. Poof. I get redirected back to the My Account page. okay…

Now, when I go back into the Dashboard/Settings/Payments it still says my account is not connected to stripe. Now when I click setup stripe button it just goes to the My Account page.

Has anyone else experienced this? My search has just turned up other errors related to the stripe integration.

    thanks

You’ll be pleased to know you are the first to have ever reported this as being a problem. I’ve never seen it either. It’s always simply worked.

Are you running any caching that might be showing a stale page? Have you tried placing an order to see if the vendor does get the Stripe commission as intended with sandbox or live mode?

I am using same stripe account as the primary one for the site admin. Perhaps that is an issue.

I will play around and see if I have similar problem with a third account.

    Let you know

I logged in with another vendor account that has not been set up with Stripe and I clicked on the setup stripe button and it just redirects me to My Account page.

I disabled all plugins short of woo commerce and WC Vendors and it still does not navigate to stripe site.

I’ll continue some testing and report back with anything that might be useful.

I would think that Stripe wouldn’t want to split payments to the same account, I can certainly see that as being a possible issue.

Let me know if you need any help, happy to hop on and test a little bit, too.

    Good news!

I decided to try a different browser and with the third account and was able to successfully connect. Woot!

I will be moving back to original failed account and try to deduce why that failed. My first impression is that it may have something to do with that account not being set up with 2 factor authentication. I am going to double-check all settings and try again.

    Observations:

    1. The link to connect to stripe includes the stripe domain: https://connect.stripe.com/oauth/authorize?response_type=code&client_id=C…

Clicking it bounces right back to the My Account Page, so it’s something on stripes side…they seem to think my application has been processed.

I refreshed the browser and was able to get to the stripe account verification again and this time I did the two-factor authentication. Upon return to the My Account page, it did not display the message “You account has been connected” like it did for the other. Something is failing and there is no error message.

Perplexing. I am going to contact Stripe and see if they have any ideas.

    Thanks

    Jamie

    FYI

You can not have an individual stripe account associated with the same domain twice. They say it to secure against double charges.

I haven’t implemented new account yet, but I am fairly sure this issue is resolved. You may consider some error checking for this, if not already implemented. I am a master at finding ways to break sites. 🙂

    Peace,

Interesting! Thanks for the tidbit. We’re working on an update for Stripe right now to solve some OAuth clashes and a few other tweaks too.

I am trying to determine if this is set to the correct account or if pulling something from cookies/history. I seems like if the stripe account is open in another tab WCV doesn’t redirect and force a login. I want to make sure wires aren’t crossed here.

I wanted to ask, should the user meta field

    _stripe_connect_access_key

match the public key in the stripe account or is that key unique for your application contacting the stripe account?

I posed the question to stripe and based on what they told me, it seemed like key/token management was something your software would manage.

    Thank you

_stripe_connect_access_key is for the individual vendor. If it matches your applications unique key for your admin account, that’s no good. 🙂 It’s specifically and only for telling Stripe which vendor to pay their commission. If empty, or invalid, you get all the money instead.

None of the keys match, so i figure these keys are issued for each specific connection. Makes sense.

    I think it’s all good.

    thanks again.
