When a vendor is adding a product, all the media images are showing from the entire website before the “Add Product Gallery Images” link. Before there would be just a link there and no images would show until they were selected from the pop-up media window. And when you click the add gallery link you get a message that says “You have reached the maximum number of gallery images.”

You can copy an existing product and add gallery product images, but new products are not working. I changed themes and that didn’t help.

    Can you please advise.Thanks

    Hello,
Could you please deactivate all plugin except WooCommerce, WC Vendors and WC Vendors Pro and see if the issue persists?
If so, switch to the Storefront theme https://wordpress.org/themes/storefront/ also (keeping the plugins deactivated while you test..)
    Does this still happen?

    Hi,

I deactivated all the plugins except the ones you mentioned and activated the Storefront theme and I’m still seeing the issue. I know my way around a little bit, but this issue has me confused.

I can copy an existing product and the gallery image uploader and pictures work fine.

If you are adding a new product, the vendor can see all the images from other users. They can even delete them too.

OK- please try resetting the vendor and pending vendor roles: wp admin > woocommerce > system status > tools : Reset WC Vendors Roles

For some reason the vendors are getting permissions to view other’s images— which, as you know- should NOT be happening.

If resetting the roles does not help, please if you would private reply with an admin login and password so I can take a look and assist further.

    Thank you!

Hi, I was just checking in to see if y’all have had a chance to login and checkout what may be causing all the gallery images to be displayed on the front end when a vendor is adding a product.

    Thanks

    Hello AJ,
    I am stumped.
I have logged in yes- and I have tried everything I can think of at this time. However- it persists.
Have you altered any of the core files or templates without moving them to the theme? I also switched to Storefront and deactivated all plugins to check as well, so any modifications made in the child theme would not cause the issue- but did you add code directly to any of the WC Vendors files?

Hi Anna, I haven’t made any changes to any of the core files. Only changes I’ve made have been to the functions.php file in the child theme. What’s weird is if a vendor goes to the backend to manage their store – wp-admin/ and they click the link to add gallery photos only their photos show up. So it works in the backend fine.

I actually reinstalled woocommerce, wc vendors, and the pro plugins a couple of days ago and that didn’t help.

@dysartwebs Did you ever get a fix for this? I’m having the same issue.

I finally figured out what the problem was. All the images that were showing up on the page were “Unattached” media items. They showed up after I did the big upgrade in woocommerce and wc vendors.

To fix, I went to the Media Library and deleted the images. Most of them were from 2014 and 2015. When you are on the product add page on the front end, get the file name of the image there (right click on the mouse) and then search for it in the media library. Delete it and the image should disappear from the page. It’s a slow process if you have a lot of images. Be careful not to delete images that are attached to products.

@BIGBENSNAKE, @dysartwebs, I’ve tried the above function and no go. Still seeing all the imagery. You mentioned the functions.php, anything I need to do to that file you mentioned?
