Links for Products, Orders, Coupons, Ratings, View All Recent Orders, and View All Recent Products don’t work on Dashboard. Do I need to set up pages for these? If so, do I need shortcodes?
October 2, 2015 at 4:26 pm #9669WC Vendors SupportParticipantThat sounds like a Permalink issue. wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks and click save. let me know!

October 3, 2015 at 4:58 am #9793Donna AndersonParticipantHi Ben,
Thanks, but I did save Permalinks. I just installed on a test site and got the same results – pages not found. I’m using Superstore on the test site, too, so I switched to twenty fourteen and still ‘page not found.’
Entered a couple of test vendor products on test site. /vendor_stores/shop name brings back 404 on test site.
Sold by link under products just pulls up the same product. If I click on the ‘sold by’ link from an archives page it just brings up the archives page.
Update — This ‘sold by’ problem has something to do with new vendors added after the install. I clicked the ‘sold by’ link under an existing vendor and it brought up their vendor_stores page with the rating stars at the top. So THAT works. BUT – the new vendor is not listed under the Vendor Stores tab for me to edit.
Timing is off, too. The only vendor I’ve had on the test site is myself and it’s been set up for months but it says it was just created 19 hours ago. That’s the same thing that happened with images on our selling site yesterday. They all went to ‘published 16 hours ago’ and then the links were all broken.
Installing this on my real site yesterday caused some major problems. Orders and commissions were dropped. Thankfully we still got order confirmation emails so I had those to use for calculating commissions. Tons of images were lost yesterday, too.
I also still haven’t seen that page where vendors can enter social media info and I have no idea if any of the notes or feedback buttons work because none of those pages or links work.
I’m totally at a loss. I know this should have been a simple installation. I downloaded from the link, uploaded through my dash, added licensing info, saved, and then re-saved permalinks. That’s it.
Did I maybe get a bad batch π
October 3, 2015 at 5:10 am #9796Donna AndersonParticipantOK, forget about the image problem. That was caused by me. A few days ago I went through and deleted all the huge images everybody was using and it deleted the images but not the links.
October 3, 2015 at 8:01 am #9807Donna AndersonParticipantJust tried to uninstall and reinstall Woocommerce on my test site and it says ‘WC Vendors Pro requires WooCommerce’. Whole site just crashed. Can’t even visit the front end because it also says WC Vendors Pro requires WooCommerce. Going to run the backup on this test site so I can get it back but I’m definitely having issues somewhere.
October 3, 2015 at 8:16 pm #9892WC Vendors SupportParticipantGlad you got the one problem solved!
If it crashed like that, delete the Pro plugin folder, or the wc-vendors free plugin folder, and then re-install. You should be good to go after this point. No need to wipe and reinstall from backups at all!
Finally all caught up on support tickets, sorry for the terrible response times. Its been an interesting experience doing support in the mother-baby unit of the hospitals labor wing. π
October 4, 2015 at 4:44 am #9918Donna AndersonParticipantCongratulations, dad! π I hope baby and mom are both doing well. And don’t worry about response times. I figured the baby was on the way and I’ve just been ignoring my vendors for a day or so. I needed a break anyway.
I think the reason we lost all the images is because after I couldn’t get Pro to work I installed a backup. I’ll try deleting the Pro folder from database and reinstall and see what happens.
October 4, 2015 at 1:34 pm #9935Donna AndersonParticipantWorking on test site. Went to database and deleted PRO, the followed your exact steps to reinstall – Upload, add licensing info, save permalinks.
Still major problems.
Products, Orders, Coupons, Ratings, View All Recent Orders, and View All Recent Products donβt work on Dashboard. Were these pages supposed to have been automatically created? If not, do you have shortcodes so I can set up the pages?
New Vendors not showing up under Vendor Stores tab.
Still haven’t seen new Vendor Registration page.
I have no idea if feedback system works because I’ve never been able to get to a page that has a feedback link.
Don’t know if ‘Mark Shipped’ works or Print Shipping Label or any other links because I’ve never been able to get to a page that has those links.
/vendor_stores/shop-name pages are all out of configuration. Someone said they went to full width but that’s not an option for our site. We need that sidebar on the right for customer navigation. And I don’t have a clue how to customize a full page.
I want this plug-in to work because there are a lot of features our vendors will love. But our selling site took a major hit when I installed this. We’ve lost hundreds of images. I know I said I deleted them but I’ve done some more digging around and a lot more images were dropped than what I deleted and I think it’s because I had to run a backup after I deleted Pro.
I have vendors questioning every little blip on the radar right now because they think the entire site’s broken so I can’t even think about installing this on the selling site until I’m 100% sure it’s going to work there.
At this point I don’t know what to do.
October 4, 2015 at 8:09 pm #9972WC Vendors SupportParticipant“Iβll try deleting the Pro folder from database and reinstall and see what happens.”
There is no “Pro” folder in the database. Databases have tables, and there’s nothing in the DB you want to mess with. π I was referring to /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/
I still have an account on your website. If you’d like me to install Pro for you and get it all setup, just say the word and I’ll take care of it. π I’m home from the hospital now so support will be super fast finally again.
October 5, 2015 at 3:37 am #9996Donna AndersonParticipantI would love it if you’d set it up for me on our selling site. I’ll go delete the activation key from my test site.
But before you do that, because I know it’s not something you’re offering to everybody, I wanted to let you know that I am totally committed to using WCVendors Pro. I even already started a blog about it at http://smiling-place.flywheelsites.com/about It doesn’t have a domain name yet because a) I wanted to see if you guys were OK with me blogging about it but you’ve been busy so I didn’t want to bother you yet and b) I can’t decide on a name.
It does have some pages set up and I was just waiting for PRO before I really get started blogging.
So I’m not just some wanna be website owner who’s gonna disappear in a couple of months. I’m in it for the long haul with our website and with Pro.
And that’s what I meant up there – I deleted /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/, I just went through ftp instead of deleting from the dash to see if that would help. My brain is sooooo fried and I know you guys have got to be pooped.
October 5, 2015 at 3:56 pm #10029Donna AndersonParticipantHey Ben – Don’t do anything yet. Flywheel is going in to see if they can fix the image problem and they’ll be cloning the site. I’ll let you know when they’re finished π
October 5, 2015 at 4:08 pm #10035WC Vendors SupportParticipantThanks Karen. “Pooped” sure is the right term, with a now 2 1/2 day old baby in the house. π I’ve never had 12 bowel movements in 24 hours, but damn, this kid sure can! You’d be proud to know I’ve changed all diapers except for 2 to give Mom some time to relax. π
Feel free to blog away! We’re proud to have members like you here who are certainly in this for the long haul like we are. I’ll await Flywheel doing their thing, just let me know when ready!
Ben
October 5, 2015 at 5:58 pm #10059Donna AndersonParticipantAwwww, that is soooo sweet! I’m assuming mom and baby are both doing well. And good on ya for giving her some time to rest up. Tell here we said a shower of happy thoughts her way, too π
And yes, Flywheel just finished up. Have at it whenever you have time. No rush. Take care of your family first π
October 6, 2015 at 4:30 am #10123AdamParticipantHi ben I keep getting the error this page has too many redirect loops when i go to my account page. could i give you the user name and password and you help me check on this.
October 6, 2015 at 3:01 pm #10163JiyoungParticipantI had the same problem as @thehappycouponer! All my links are broke! I did save the permalink settings without making any change. Because all the replies are marked private, I don’t know how I can fix this problem! Please help!
And since I don’t get how to set up the Dashbaord page, I would like to use back-end wp-admin for vendors. I was wondering if I could enter shipping tracking numbers there as well. I’m using plugin for shipment tracking.
Thank you.
October 8, 2015 at 6:45 am #10317Donna AndersonParticipantHi Ben,
How’s the wife and mini-Ben?
Hey, I finally had some time to work on this and I think I’m gonna be OK. I set up a completely new test site with new installs for WC, WCV and WCV PRO and everything looks great so far. I really think this all goes back to that problem I was having a few weeks ago. I think something somewhere broke during that last major WC update.
Anyway, I’ve got PRO up and I think I can handle this. It was time for a design tweak anyway so this gives me an excuse to get everything all cleaned up all at once π
October 8, 2015 at 5:44 pm #10334WC Vendors SupportParticipantBoth good, both tired, and me, trying to stay caught up handling all of us at the same time. π
Glad you’ve got Pro setup and rockin! Are you on version 1.0.1? If not, make sure you are.
Ben
