    Hello
    Greetings!

I am using wc-vendor and wc-vendor pro. I have configured the plugin and now there is also option is showing on Registration page “Apply to become vendor” but is not working. It always set the default user role that is configured from backend (Admin panel->General settings). I tried to figure this out by hard core as well but no luck. But I am able to become vendor from My Account page when user is logged in and apply for vendor request. Can you please let me know what would be the problem?

    Thanks!

What is the role that the user has after they register and click the apply to become a vendor box? They should be directed to the Pro Dashboard page to finish filling out the vendor registration application and only once they submit that, then they become a vendor or a pending vendor.

They become custome after register and apply to become vendor box and users are not redirected to pro dashboard as well. But before installing wc-vendor pro version, it was automatically sets the user role to become vendor when any user check the button for apply for vendor. Does that functionality modify?

In Pro, the “Apply to become a vendor?” simply creates their account with the WooCommerce creation method from the My Account page, and then redirects them to the /dashboard/ page to fill out the app to become a vendor. They complete it, and at the bottom, submit it to you. If you have auto approve on, they are instantly a Vendor and can access the full dashboard, otherwise they are set to Pending Vendor.

    Are you running v1.0.5?

I just tested with WC Vendors Free v1.8.1 and have no problem registering on the My Account page.

Vijay — I went to your website and couldnt register AT ALL, not as a vendor, or as a regular customer, or anything.

    Hi Vijay,

I’m not thinking this is a WC Vendors issue at all. I cant register on your site at all. I would disable all plugins including WC Vendors, but leave WooCommerce enabled. Does it still fail to register anyone?

    Cheers

Glad to have helped, glad you got it resolved.

You might consider “WangGuard” for anti spam registrations. It’s the best, it’s also free on WordPress.org.

    Cheers
