    Hi,

When adding a product, I was wondering if its possible to only show certain attributes depending on what product category is selected?

    Thanks!

With some custom programming, probably. You can do anything you want. You should probably learn some JavaScript for this one, though. 🙂

I’m weak at everything but JS I’m particularly poor.

Is it possible to set the fields css display attribute depending on what is currently selected in the category field? Or would there be a more efficient way of doing it?

What do you mean by “Attributes” by the way? Since, in WC Vendors Pro, attributes and variations arent yet implemented……..

When I set a product attribute in wp-admin->products->attributes it shows up in the vendor dashboard when adding a product. Should this not be happening?

Aah, OK. I didn’t realize Jamie wrote in support for that yet. If it works for you, keep it! 🙂

As for how to auto populate them, @digitalchild Jamie would know the answer, he’s *REALLY* busy coding these days to get Pro’s styling issues fixed and the shipping module finished up too, so his replies here may not be as quick as mine. 🙂

    Hello,

This is possible, but as Ben mentioned it would require custom coding. I’ve been thinking about how to do category based display of attributes but it is very very difficult to write code for any possible situation and providing an admin interface to actually set this up.

It’s on the border of the complexities I face with developing support for variations on the front end.

    cheers,

    Jamie.
