Hi – hit a problem since installing Pro – will be grateful for the solution:

Will not allow logged in vendor to add images under the ‘branding’ sub heading

    Thanks

    Hi Jenny,

What happens Add Store Banner or Add Store Icon? It should open the Media Library where they can choose, or upload, a new image.

    Hi Ben

It does open the media library but if I try to upload an image I get the message

You don’t have permission to attach files to this post.

Also – can I double check than when we have resolved the uploading of the icon that this becomes the vendor logo that will appear at top left of vendors shop http://helloand.wpengine.com/vendors/foxys-deli/ and in store list?

    Hi Jenny,

1.) You realize you have 0% commission set right now? That means you (admin) get 100% and vendors get 0%. If that’s intentional, cool, have fun. If not, might want to check that out! 🙂

2.) You deleted the old Vendor Dashboard pages. You need to keep them. I re-created and set them for you properly.

3.) Your Pro Dashboard template was using the default page template for your theme. I changed it to no sidebar, and now your Pro Dashboard displays in full width glory. 😉

4.) The plugin that screwed up your user roles is called “Members”. Unfortunately, even while deactivated, it still screws things up. I’ve tried for the last hour to fix it, and am unable to. If you have a backup of your website from before you installed “Members”, that would be great. It looks like your site has quite a few plugins you don’t use anymore, like Dokan (yay, thanks! :)), and many more. Since your site is not “Live” yet, you might consider a fresh install of WordPress from scratch again to get rid of all the junk these other plugins have in your database. I know that sounds severe, but the user roles are still being overwritten by either the Members plugin or another one that lurks in there somewhere.

The best way to start a multi vendor site is install WordPress, install WooCommerce, install WC Vendors, then WC Vendors Pro, and your theme. Get everything working and configured and tested. And then, lastly, install all the additional little plugins that do minor tweaks to your site. Doing it this way avoids any complications from having 30 other plugins installed doing different things, and allows you to identify the source of the problem before it becomes way too late.

    Hi Ben,

I am one of the team that works on the website – thanks for your feedback.

The problem turned out to be the WP User Avatars plugin, it seems to interfere with the upload process somehow – guess it has something hooked/filtered. As per thread elsewhere here, I’ve disabled it as Pro provides the functionality we were using it for.

Thanks Ben. I like your name. 😉

Can you confirm that deactivating WP User Avatars plugin was the source of the problem, and that deactivating it allowed WC Vendors Pro banners/avatars to function?

I just had the same problem, but during those times I needed help, there was no quick response and either the FAQ gives me the right guide. Good that I have my friend working at http://eatmywords.com/about/ and knowledgeable in this configuration.
