I am seeing this error: Files larger than 500 kilobytes are not allowed.

This happens when trying to upload media product images.

In my admin when i got to add new media it says..Maximum upload file size: 800 MB, so its reading my php file correctly

That’s a really, really, really low limit your host has setup for you. 😉

Here is what woocommerce reports, so it looks like it has more than enough in settings for uploading over 500k.

I get this error when logged in as a vendor and trying to upload through the vendor interface

I do not get this error when uploading directly to media section of wordpress

I don’t see any settings in woocommerce or elsewhere to limit the file upload size for vendors

Are there any settings or anything I can look at in woocommerce or wc vendors that would put this limit. I can upload 20mb files in other parts of my site, just not as a vendor.

There are no WC Vendors settings as to specify the maximum file size of an image being uploaded. We simply show the WordPress Media Library tool to the vendors, and let the vendors manage their media with your settings within WordPress. It does look like you have the correct PHP Max upload size, so that gets a bit weird. It makes me think there’s another plugin, or your theme, setting an arbitrary file upload limit somehow. You’d want to do the standard disable all plugins except Woo/WCV and switch to the Storefront theme. Test. Does it work? If yes, it’s a plugin or a theme issue somewhere, start re-enabling/switching back till you find the one that screws it up.
