Is there a way to show the categories on a vendor page, or a way to group products on the vendor shop page please?

Nope. WooCommerce uses the archive-product.php template for displaying the shop pages. As a result, if you show categories on it, it overrides showing products. And that means you see all categories, and when you click one, it doesnt discern between vendors products. Thanks for that fun limitation, WooThemes! 🙂

So, in WC Vendors Pro, you will have completely rewritten shop pages, coded with templates by us, instead of Woo. This will allow you to show products, or categories, and when you click on a category, it will show products in the category only by the vendor of whose page you are on.

This is the final part to add to WC Vendors Pro before it goes for sale, Jamie is working on this right now. So, if you have any suggestions or feedback on this, now would be a *fantastic* time to provide it. 🙂

Haha! Hows that for timing 🙂 a couple of my tester vendors (one of which has nearly 50 products in her shop already), would like to group her products on her shop page to make them easily searchable rather than a long list of products that the user has to scroll through. For example she has weddings, birthdays, christenings and gifts, which aren’t general categories on the site. But she would like her own categories on her home page before her products. If that makes any sense?

That does make sense, but is most certainly not a possibility to actually do. 😉 There’s no “per user categories” for WooCommerce, so there’s no way to do this. 🙁 They would be able to use global categories that are regular on your site, of course!
