Hi,
On the Add Product page I would prefer it if categories could be selected via checkboxes (like in the free version). Any hints on how to achieve this?
Also, and this is something I managed to implement before, how would I go about limiting the number of categories a vendor can select to say 3? Would a Javascript solution be the way to go again or might there be a better way?
Yes please! Although I love that you can start typing to add your categories, vendors are finding having to scroll and select for every category really time consuming. They’re being lazy too and not adding all the categories they should so I’m having to go in and change categories in wp-admin.
When they had the tick boxes they used to tick practically everything which was too much so if we go back to that, I’d also like a way of restricting the number of categories so they think more csrefully about which categories to tick.Also you can only add one word tags instead of phrases like previously.
Any suggestions on how we can improve on the above would be fab thank you.

Limiting categories would have to be custom coded as validation code. I dont know how to do that, Jamie does, but it’s a pain in the ass.
Checkboxes will be an option in a future update of Pro. PS — You dont have to type in categories. Just click the input box and they show up in a scrollable list.

I do love the option of typing or the scrollable list, the only problem is not being able to select more than one category at a time. If there was a way to perhaps click Ctrl to select more than one that’d be wonderful 🙂
Also for Tags it would be good if we could add more than one word at a time.

I’d be willing to pay Jamie to do it for my site only as without it my vendors basically ruin the site by choosing to put their products in too many categories, rendering the categories themselves pointless. I also agree with Karen about the tags.
Checkboxes, category limits, and multi word tags will be in a future release.
We just finished testing and pushing v1.1.1 to the site now for release.
