I have stripe plugin setup and working, but the commission calculation does not include the shipping amount. Just the product price. I do want vendors gaming the system and set low product prices and high shipping. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

    Hi Charles,

I don’t see you as having purchased our Stripe gateway at all. ONLY our Stripe gateway will work. None of the other plugins for Stripe will handle commissions or shipping, as this is hard coded specifically to work with WC Vendors Free & Pro only.

    Cheers

    Hi Charles,

Aah there it is, you had a different email address at the time. Thanks!

Shipping would not be included in the calculations unless you are also using WC Vendors Pro. Only Pro’s “Vendor Shipping” module that comes with Pro can determine what vendor owns what product, other Woo shipping plugins see the cart as a “global” cart, assuming that its all owned by the admin.

    Cheers

Woops, I hit submit too fast. So, if you’re using WC Vendors Pro, make sure you do have the Vendor Shipping system enabled, and are using that. Also, in your settings for WC Vendors, make sure the checkbox that says “Give shipping to vendor” is also checked. If that doesnt work, time to make some shots of all your settings and post here so we can see what’s going on, and perhaps try to give us steps to reproduce this problem.

I went through the settings again. Hit save on all the pages, but no luck.

Commission set at 97%. $20 item with $5 shipping. I get .60 cents, should be .75. This amount is reflected in Stripe as well as on the commissions page.

I attached a couple screenshots. I don’t have any custom code or anything.

97% of $20 is $0.60. You should not get $0.75, your math is incorrect.

    plus $5 for shipping, that’s another .15.

It should count the shipping for the commission rate, otherwise you could have a vendor take advantage.

No commission is deducted from shipping. “Give vendor shipping” does just that — It gives it to the vendor, 100%. 🙂

OK. Well that clarifies how it works. And that it is working properly.

Now what is to stop a vendor from pricing their item for free and charge $20 shipping? No commissions will be deducted. If you had a large site this might get unruly and revenue would be lost. Maybe a feature to be added or is there a way for me to edit the stripe plugin?

What would stop a vendor from abusing your website? This may come as a surprise, but the answer is easy. *YOU*. You’re the admin of your website. It’s your job to ensure your vendors arent abusing it. 😉 Stay on top of your website and the products your vendors add.
