NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

    Hi everyone,

    I have recently tried using Vendors Free to see whether it is the right plugin for my planned marketplace, I must say I am impressed with the all the features and functionality, however there is one feature I am uncertain about.

    I am looking to try to set up a site similar to Etsy with a set percentage commission to myself, I have looked through other posts and am happy for payments to go through me then to the vendor, however my concern lies in the vendor being able to change the commission percentage after I have already set it. Is there a way to disable the vendor’s ability to do this? As I am looking at it, it seems that if i set for example that I keep 5% of the sale as commission, that the vendor could change this via their dashboard and override the setting I have provided. Is this correct or have am I looking at this wrong?

    Just to jump on this one,

    Vendors cannot set the commission rate, you do. They can’t change the commission value. If you set it at 5%, it’s 5%, unless you change it yourself.

    Also, go for Pro, it’s awesome!

    Jonathan is right! Vendors can not set the commission rate, only admins do. Can you imagine if the vendors could though? They’d bankrupt you! 🙂 🙂
