I would like vendors to pay a fee for selling their own products on my platform, does that mean I have to set a negative commission?

    Hello,
    Negative commissions?
No– we do not have a built-in way to charge a fee for listing a product, and there is not a way to charge negative commissions.. I am not sure what you mean by that.
You can set up a monthly fee to have a vendor role on your site: https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/paid-membership-solution/

    Hello,
I think paid membership is an alternative solution to what we need, we exactly want to charge a fee for listing any product on our platform, we want to make money on any product they sell, a listing fee to to vendors is about 15% of the item price. So for example when an item sells for $100 the breakdown of fees looks like this:

    1.Item price: $100
    2.Net vendor earning: $85
    3.Vendor fee: $15

I hope that I made myself clear, Thanks for your support.

    Hello,
Yes- that is how the commissions work in WC Vendors. You can set the commissions so that the vendor receives a certain percent of the product sale price. So, if you set commissions to 50, the vendor receives 50% and the site admin receives 50% of the funds from a sale.
This occurs after the sale of the product, not before. when an item sells, the funds are dispersed according to how you have set the commissions in your wc vendors settings.

And our platform will be targeting the African market, and paypal isn’t a thing that people are using back there, is there a way to set a direct payment to the bank vendor’s bank account with BIC / Swift for instance.

Sure– If you have your settings to pay your vendors manually (wp admin > woocommerce > wc vendors > payments) then you can pay them using whatever method you wish on whatever schedule you arrange with your vendors.

You can see this article about how to add custom fields to your settings form: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/custom-fields-to-shop-settings-page/ so you can collect the vendor’s banking info; and you have the option to hide the paypal email field from the vendor settings and signup forms also (wp admin > woocommerce wc vendors > settings form or signup form) by ticking the checkbox on those settings pages.
