    Hi,

I think the commissions calc in the “New Customer Order” email that the vendor gets may be wrong.

My vendor is on 70%, no tax passed but shipping is passed to vendor.

Product is £10 inc UK tax (20%) = 8.33 net
    Shipping is £5.

In commissions is says he’s due £10.83 (5.83 product + £5 shipping) – this seems correct to me.

But in the email to Vendor:

    product: £7.50
    Commission subtotal: 7.50
    Shipping subtotal: 5

    any clues – thanks

    $10 * .70 = $7.00. +$5 shipping = $12.50. Ignoring VAT since you arent giving that to the vendor.

Looks like it’s correct to me…

Hi – its the commission calc in the Vendor New Order EMAIL – this appears wrong & different.

    PLease see screen shots.

The commission calcs in the Vendor’s Dashboard > Orders & the Shop Admin area > Reports & Commissions seems correct at £10.83 (5.83 product + 5 shipping).

    thanks

Hiya – did you get chance to look at my screenshots – does it make any sense?

    thanks

    Hello,

I’m not even sure how its getting 7.50 for the commission rate in the email as the code that calculates the commission is the same for the other 2 screen shots.

Is this happening on all orders? Can you give me a couple of more examples so i can try and track down what is happening?

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hi Jamie,
I’ve done some more testing (4 orders) and in all cases only 1 of the order EMAILS is correct in terms of the commission calcs – the commission calcs in reports and dashboards are all correct.

Basically I have 2 sellers and in both cases the UK Tax (20% VAT) does NOT go to the seller BUT shipping (no tax) does.
    Seller 1 – 80% commission
    Seller 2 – 70% commission

    —-

Order #2043 – pls see screen shot of order email
Item: £4.99 (inc 20% tax) + £1 flat rate global shipping (no tax)
    Customer pays: £5.99
    Seller 1 Commission: (4.99 / 1.2 [20% tax]) x (0.8 commission rate for seller 1) + £1 shipping = £4.33.
    Seller 1 Commission Calc in EMAIL: £4.16 + £1 ship = £5.16

Comment: Its like tax has come off but NOT the 80% commission.

    —-

Order #2044 – pls see screen shot of order email
Item: £6.99 (inc 20% tax) + £5 flat rate override shipping (no tax)
    Customer pays: £11.99
    Seller 1 Commission: (6.99 / 1.2 [20% tax]) x (0.8 commission rate for seller 1) + £5 shipping = £9.66.
    Seller 1 Commission Calc in EMAIL: £5.83 + £5 ship = £10.83

Comment: Its like tax has come off but NOT the 80% commission.

    —-

Order #2045 – pls see screen shot of order email
Item: £5.99 (inc 20% tax) + £1 Country rate global shipping (no tax)
    Customer pays: £6.99
    Seller 2 Commission: (5.99 / 1.2 [20% tax]) x (0.7 commission rate for seller 2) + £1 shipping = £4.49.
    Seller 2 Commission Calc in EMAIL: £4.49 + £1 ship = £5.49

Comment: Not sure whats going on here as its not consistent with first 2 orders, only difference here is different seller commission rate and its country rate ship.

    —-

Order #2046 – pls see screen shot of order email
Item: £4.99 (NO tax) + £5 Country rate override shipping (no tax)
    Customer pays: £9.99
    Seller 2 Commission: (4.99) x (0.7 commission rate for seller 2) + £5 shipping = £8.49.
    Seller 2 Commission Calc in EMAIL: £3.49 + £5 ship = £8.49

Comment: CORRECT ALL ROUND – this was the only order/product where there was no product Tax.

Hope this helps – let me know if you need anything more or logins

    cheers

    Hello

Thanks for the more detailed response. I’m currently up to my eyeballs in variations code at the moment so I can’t take a look at this for a couple of days. It does look like you’ve narrowed it down to something funky with taxes. I’ll have to build a new dev environment to try and replicate these and see where it’s going weird.

All the emails are triggered in free which makes this even more fun to work out.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

I had to check this myself and the problem seems to also effecting me as well, I then updated the permalink and reprocessed a new order but there was no change. Please check my attachments from a single test order. Maths isn’t my strong point and maybe I’m confusing myself but it seems to me as if something is not right.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Andy

PS. MWST = Tax. I put the system back into English for this demonstration and MWST is a set wording within woocommerce.

    Hi Guys,

I thought this was fixed but I’m just doing some last bit of testing before my client goes live and this issue appears to have re-appeared?

    example:

Product £6.99 inc 20% vat so its £5.83 net
    Shipping is £4

Seller 1 commission is 80% and seller gets whole of the shipping not tax.

Commission calc on Dashboard are correct:
    80% of the net product (5.83) = 4.66 + 4 shipping = 8.66 total due

    But the sellers EMAIL says
    £5.83 for the product & £4 shipping

Again similar senario with another seller who is on 70%
    e.g

    Product 2 – £8.99 inc VAT = 7.49 ex vat
    Seller 2 – 70% = 5.24

Seller 2 email says £7.49 + shipping BUT his dashboard says £5.24 + shipping (which is correct)

I think your code is taking the vat / tax off but then its not doing the commission.

Help – client wants to go live in few days
    thanks
