    Hi All,

I’m just about to kick off a project using WC Vendors with Stripe as the only payment gateway on the website. My client will also be attending farmers markets, and selling products using the Square extension for WooCommerce that’s only just recently been launched in Australia.

My question is, can commissions be paid to vendors if the original transaction wasn’t via Stripe? If so, is it automated or manual?

Thanks in advance. Have a great day,

    Joel Eade

    Joel,
When your vendors receive payments on the website and you are using our Stripe Commissions & Gateway plugin https://www.wcvendors.com/product/stripe-commissions-gateway/ , ay customer credit card transactions paid via Stripe will be automatically split between you/admin and the vendor (if they have a Stripe account connected) at checkout. Instant payment of commissions.

If they go out and take payments via the Square WooCommerce extension, those customer payments will initially go to YOU, site admin. You will then need ot pay the vendors their due commission form those sales. It will not be automatic.
You will need to arrange how to pay those commissions funds to the vendors. You would need to collect bank account info, a paypal email or some other method so that you can pay the commissions from the SQUARE sales.

Any due commissions for vendors can be viewed in two areas:
wp admin > woocommerce > commissions
    and
wp amdin > woocommerce > reports

And once you pay the vendors manually, you can mark those commissions as PAID rather than DUE.

Thanks for the comprehensive answer, Anna. I appreciate it. I’m looking forward to making a start on the project and using WC Vendors.

    All the best 🙂
