There appears to be a bug with the commissions report when dealing with Free items. It appears to roll forward the commission amount instead of showing the actual commission amount for that product purchased. This is confusing and causing my admin to think we owe the vendor that money for each product listed. In this case that is $800 which is completely wrong since the product is free no commission is due. We do owe the vendor $800 for another purchase but the report is carrying that amount for every free purchase as well. I hope that makes sense.

Can you give me something to replicate? If it says $800 due, that means the product sold for something. If the product was free, it’d say $0.

    Hence the bug??? lol

The product is marked as $0. So, again, this vendor has a paid item that he receives a fixed commission of $800. There is an order that was placed so we do owe him $800. This same vendor also has many free items that are all marked as $0 dollars but as you can see they still show $800 commission owed for each of those products.

So what do you need to see to “replicate”? Create a paid product and a free product for a vendor. The paid product has a fixed commission. Place a purchase for the paid product first then place a purchase for a free product.

Hello, is there an ETA to a fix for this bug?

    Thanks in advance.

Attached is an image from the Vendors Dashboard. When they pull up the order they see they got $800 dollars for it but the price is $0 for the product. There is a bug here, your assistance would be great!

I’ve tried for the last hour to replicate this, and am unable to. Can you try to replicate this issue on dev.wcvendors.com as a vendor and add the products as such and get it to break? I couldn’t at all….. What this probably means, is there’s something causing some conflict on your site messing around with commission totals, or an option configured incorrectly. Give dev.wcvendors.com a test first, and then keep going from there….

well i do not have any other issues with any other products only the one vendor that happens to have a paid product and a free product but i will look around. I will try out the dev site but its not exactly using apples to apples since i created products from the backend as an admin rather than as a vendor.

i do have the fixed fee commission of $800 set in the vendor’s profile. I am trying to look through all this code but somewhere it is not checking against the $0 product price before applying the fixed commission of $800. which also leads me to believe that this issue would probably occur for any product amount less than $800 and have a fixed commission amount of $800 applied to the sale even though the product price was less.

ok it is definitely the profile commission set to a fixed amount. i changed the vendor to a % and the free products purchased now reflect $0 commission but if i put it back to fixed amount, the free item will give a commission of the fixed amount regardless of the price of the product.
