    Hi there,

I am considering the possibility of running auctions as well, so I was wondering if anybody has any experience with WC Vendors and auctions plug-ins.

I think there are 2 options: either go with a dedicated auction plugin, or go with a WooCommerce-Auction plug-in.

I am looking at these in specific:

http://sitemile.com/products/wordpress-auctions-plugin/ < they say that they use a new custom post type, but will there be any conflict with user roles etc?

    http://ignitewoo.com/woocommerce-extensions-plugins-themes/woocommerce-auctions/
    http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-simple-auctions/6811382

Any advise / ideas / caveats are welcome 😉

    Hello,

I have a site running Ignite Woo’s auction plugin but I would not recommend using it. Simple auctions appears to work pretty well.

    cheers,

hi both, thanks for the input.

I was wondering if I could have a look at any live sites running WCV / Auctions?

Got a few questions / concerns which will be easily answered this way (one being about ‘common’ users having to access the backend).

@Ben, no worries if it’s NSFW, just PM me?

    thanks a lot 🙂

My sites do not run auctions, so I have no live example to show you.

The site that I know uses that plugin is converting from their own custom auction software to Woo/WC/SA and is still on a private server. I’m afraid I can not get you access to see it.

The Simple Auctions plugin has a demo page on CodeCanyon. It looks just like that except the vendors add the products instead, it’s really a quite simple and straight forward plugin. Install, activate, add auctions on the add product page.

    Ben
