    Hello,

    I am trying to configure WC Vendors Pro on my website but I am facing many problems. After having spend many hours trying to get it works, I decided to contact the support as it will probable be much easier and faster for you to do it for me.

    Could you please have a look and help me to configure it correctly? Once the basics are working, I should be able to manage the rest.

    My Website is: http://regenerative-healthcare.com/vendor-dashboard/

    I could of course provide you the login to my wordpress admin. Is there however a way to send it in “private” mode so that only the support team can see it?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best,
    Antoine

    I cant even get your website to load.

    wp-admin > WooCommerce > System Status — Anything you see in red, fix. 🙂

    We can probably fix it for you, but then you’ve learned nothing. We’d much rather ask you “What’s the actual problem?” and have you show us some screenshots or some really clear and concise text about what the problem is, and then help you fix it.

    Your website doesn’t work, and your FTP password is incorrect. I cant login via www, and I cant connect via FTP, so I cant really do anything at all.

    Your pages are throwing an error. Download Pro v1.2.2 and upload that via FTP to your website overwriting all existing files. Make sure you are running the latest WooCommerce, WC Vendors, and WC Vendors Pro.

    Now your URL doesnt even load, Siteground says “Oops! Website currently not available.”

    You mentioned you have a “team of programmers” ready to work on your site. I would probably advise you use their services to configure your site for you. 😉

    I’ve been following your instruction “Download Pro v1.2.2 and upload that via FTP to your website overwriting all existing files. Make sure you are running the latest WooCommerce, WC Vendors, and WC Vendors Pro.”

    I can now access the admin of wordpress, but can however still not access the website as I’ve goz zhr following error:

    Fatal error: Class ‘WC_Vendors’ not found in /home/regene41/public_html/REGENERATIVE-HEALTHCARE.COM/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/public/forms/class-wcvendors-pro-product-form.php on line 162

    Could you please help me to solve this?

    Thanks,
    Antoine

    Make sure you are running WC Vendors Free v1.8.6 and Pro v1.2.2. If you are, you should not see that error at all.

    I’ve done a restoration of my system in order to make the website working again. I installed WV Vendors Pro 2.2, set up the permalinks and updated the templates.

    However, there are still too me many things that are not working as it should. This is why I think there is still a problem with the installation/configuration. It would be great if you could have a look and let me know what you think the problem might be.

    You asked me a few days ago to address specific issues, so here are a few issues:

    1. The My Account page looks strange to me: http://i.imgur.com/JrtmYNI.png
    The page only includes a shortcode, so how I am supposed to make it looks good? I thought this would be the kind of things which would be already done by the plugin

    2. The Pro Dashboard doesn’t look really nice either and same things, this is only a shortcode: http://i.imgur.com/Ufkxi7B.png & http://i.imgur.com/KlZn29A.png
    For Product Carousel and Vendor question form, there is supposed to be something to check but there is not. Moreover it doesn’t look nice at all.

    3. Where should I go to change the color of the information circle on the left side (blue color here): http://i.imgur.com/f4G3v50.png

    4. On the Dashboard, the categories (tabs) settings, ratings and coupons are not working. Is there anything I should do to make them work?

    5. The “Add Product” button, the “No Orders found.” & “No Products found.” look a bit strange to me. http://i.imgur.com/nAZMxCG.png
    Should the “Add Product” button really look like this?
    I think that the font of the 2 other things might come from my website and not the plugin. How could I change it to make sure it displays correctly?

    I guess that understanding how to solve those issues to help me to understand how everything works and I should then be able to solve most of the other

    Thanks,
    Antoine

    1.) Nope. This is the My Account page, and it’s owned by WooCommerce, not WC Vendors. If you want to “make it look good” you have to ask your theme author to do so.

    2.) Same thing, contact your theme author. Looks like you’re using the Handy theme. They control how this entire page looks.

    3.) This isnt part of WC Vendors, it’s WooCommerce. Contact your theme author.

    4.) What does “are not working” mean? You have to describe a problem in order for us to assist you in solving something. I cant take my car to a mechanic and say “It doesnt work”. I have to tell them what the issue is, what I’ve done, and what I’ve tried, and the exact steps to replicate a problem. Consider me a mechanic. Provide information to help you, and I can help in return. 🙂

    5.) Same as #1, #2, #3, contact your theme author.

    A lot of the cosmetic things can be altered with css. The theme I’m using looks very different from the original because I’m anal about how things look. I’ve altered the WC vendors pro pages visually as well.

    The buttons, dashboard, etc can be styled, sized, changed.

    Are you familiar with using Css in the stylesheet of your child theme?

    Hello Anna,

    Thank you for your explanation. I am not a programmer and even if I can change a bit the Css in the stylesheet, my knowledge wouldn’t be good enough to really achieve what I want.

    Would it be possible for you to show me the code you’ve done. Seeing it might be enough for me to understand it and then to change it in a way that it matches my website and my need.

    Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

    Hello Ben,

    Thank you for your explanation about the styling of the pages I mentioned. I now understand it better.

    Regarding the pages I mentioned that are not working, I mean that there is an error when I click on one of the following tab:

    – “products”: it directs to http://regenerative-healthcare.com/?slide=product-slider, which is actually going to the homepage
    – “settings”: the page doesn’t exist
    – “rating”: the page doesn’t exist
    – “coupons”: the page doesn’t exist

    Is it something I need to configure on the admin?

    Sorry if what I am trying to explain is not always really clear. As a non native english speaker, I might be difficult to understand sometimes 🙂

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Antoine,

    It sounds like (for the pages that do not exist) that it’s easily fixed by an article in our KnowledgeBase. The KnowledgeBase is FULL of extremely useful information. Spend a little in in there and you’ll learn a lot:

    https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/setting-permalinks/

    Specifically, this article:

    https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/setting-permalinks/

    Don’t worry about being non-English speaking. Probably 1/3 of the members here don’t speak English as their first language. What is important, is that you describe the problem the best you can, and use screenshots when possible too. After all, descriptive text and screenshots are worth their weight in gold! 🙂

    Cheers

    Hello Anna (@fervous),

    Hello Ben,

    Thanks you, some problems were indeed due to the lack of permalinks. There are many things that I don’t really like with the general looking of some pages, but I understood I would need do do some css to improve this. I’ll see if Anna can help me with this, or I’ll find another solution if no one can help me on this forum.

    I still have the following problems / questions:

    1. The Shop Header don’t display. (I checked all the options to activated it.) Is there any size I should be using in order to have it working? Or any other reason?

    2. Should the logo not display somewhere on the vendor page? I added a logo but can not see it anywhere.

    Thanks,
    Antoine

    @Regenerasia-Partners
    Hi, Antoine.. I’ll try to help if I can. 😉

    Ben or Jamie would have to guide you with the shop banner/header and the logo, as I’m not sure if that’s an issue with your theme or the templates ..?

    I can share some with the css for the styling, though. Again, I’m not sure exactly what you are hoping to achieve, but maybe this will help you make a few changes so you can customize the look of things a bit. Otherwise, maybe your theme author can provide some guidance, too.

    First of all, back up your site.. so if you jack it all up you can revert to the original. 😀
    Secondly, you want to make sure you are using a child theme, not the original theme folders… and you apply or add the changes to the child theme’s style.css folder (for css changes).

    The easiest way to identify the item you want to change is to view your shop in firefox or chrome. So, for instance, in this example you wish to change the background color of the menu on your vendor dashboard page from black to light gray (the page with DASHBOARD/PRODUCTS/ORDERS/SETTINGS/RATINGS…etc for your vendors).
    Right click on the item that you want to change, in this case, the page menu. Select “inspect” or “inspect element” from the drop down box after your right click. It will bring up a box with css code, and you can identify the different elements that are used to style that area of the page. Hover over things and you’ll see snippets of code being highlighted.
    In this example, the background for the menu on the vendor dashboard page is styled with this:
    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black

    By default, the background is styled like this.. giving it a nearly black color:

    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black {
    background: #1a1a1a;
    }

    I decided I wanted a light gray background with a gray border for that menu. So I changed it to this, and put it in my child theme style.css folder:

    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black {
    background: #eeeeee;
    border: 1px solid #bbbbbb;
    }

    I also found other elements on the page to style, such as the links in that menu and the hover/active colors, I changed the font on a few links to match my site better and stand out more… as such:

    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black li.active {
    background: #ffffff;
    }
    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black li.active a {
    color: #d83800 !important;
    }

    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black li a:hover {
    background: #ffffff;
    color: #bbbbbb;
    }
    .wcv-navigation ul.menu.black li a {
    font-family: ‘Roboto Slab’, serif;
    font-weight: 400 !important;
    font-size: 17px;
    color: #3a3e47;
    }

    a.button.product, a.button.shop_coupon {
    margin-right: 15px;
    font-family: ‘Roboto Slab’, serif;
    font-weight: 700 !important;
    font-size: 17px;
    }

    a.wcv-button.button {
    padding: 2px;
    font-family: ‘Roboto Slab’, serif;
    font-weight: 700 !important;
    font-size: 15px;
    }

    Use !important only if you find that initially your changes are not taking affect. If you’re overriding changes that have been already made to the original files by the theme author, sometimes you have to use !important to get your changes to take precedence.

    You’ll have to play around with things to see how to get the styles you want. 😉
    If you have too much trouble, your theme author might be able to help you find what/how to change something.

    Also— read this if you are having issues with the WC Vendors pages showing up right in your theme: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/changing-vendor-templates/ and/or if you want to make changes to the vendor pages that go beyond simple css cosmetic alterations.

    I’m also not a programmer, by definition…. I hope I’ve helped a bit… I don’t know for sure if this is what you’re seeking, but I’m glad to try to help if I can 🙂

    Good luck with your endeavor!

    Hello Ben,

    Thank you for the link you provided. It unfortunately doesn’t help me to solve the problem as I have not “/wp-content/themes/yourtheme/woocommerce.php -OR- /wp-content/themes/yourtheme-child/woocommerce.php”, meaning it should work.

    Could you please tell me a bit more on how to solve this issue?

    Thanks,
    Antoine

    Hi Antoine,

    It appears you’re using an old version of the Handy theme. Handy was updated to v3.7 to provide you with WC Vendors Pro v1.2.2+ compatibility. Upgrade your theme and then let me know if that helps. 99.9% certain this is a theme issue, not a Pro issue.

    Cheers

    @foxxman: Glad this helped! The inspector tools on firefox and chrome are rad. It used to be a royal pain to customize- these tools help immensely!!

    🙂
