    Hi Ben,

So I made 2 pretty stupid mistakes when I set the plug-in up (hangs head in shame) and now I have vendors connecting their accounts/creating new ones and their account info is not showing up on my stripe dashboard. The mistakes I made were – my ‘test publishable’ key had one incorrect character at the end of it, which I’ve now changed. And although my settings on woo commerce were set to ‘test’ mode, the slider on my stripe account was set to ‘live’. So… all completely my fault but is there anything that you might be able to help to fix this now? I’ve gone to stripe and they’ve confirmed there are ‘users connected in test mode’ but they’re not showing up on my dashboard. I’ve asked them to dig a little deeper if they can but they’re suggesting I ask you and I thought I’d get in touch with you to see if you can think of an ‘easy’ solution?! or indeed any solution at all?!

    sheepishly,
    Pip

    Hi Ben,

Just to add to the above, I’ve found that when I change my Stripe account to ‘test’ mode, I can see all the connected accounts in the test area. So I guess the question is, do I need to move them to the ‘live connected accounts’ area and if so, how? I’ve asked Stripe and they just keep referring me to ask you…

    thanks,
    Pip

The vendors will have to disconnect, and reconnect from Stripe. You can manually disconnect them by editing their user_meta for the vendors user_id and removing the meta value for the key _stripe_connect_access_key if you need to reset them all at once that’s the best way.

Hi thanks for coming back to me so quickly. I’m a bit lost with your instructions though – where do I do the editing? is the disconnect and reconnect something that i could ask Stripe to do, or does it have to be done via my site? Sorry about this – I’m totally lost with the whole thing as you can see.

    Hi Pip,

No worries at all. Open phpmyadmin, and search for “_stripe_connect_access_key” in the users_meta table. When you view the search results, simply delete the rows you see that contain this. That’ll reset all vendors to “not connected” and they will then have to reconnect to Stripe on the WC Vendors Dashboard. Once they are connected again, you should be good! This is all done on your websites database, has nothing to do with Stripe.com or anything like that. 🙂

    Hi Ben,

Great thank you I’ve tracked them down. My own account is one of the ones listed in the ‘test accounts’ section. Should I delete that too? If so, how should I go about reconnecting?

    thanks,
    Pip

If by “my own account” you mean your vendor account, yup, delete it. If by “my own account” you mean the Stripe account connected via wp-admin, then you don’t have to delete it. If you do delete it, you’d reconnect your wp-admin the same way you connected it to begin with. 🙂

I mean the one connected via wp-admin as I haven’t created a vendor account for myself. So I can just leave it in the ‘test’ section and still get paid my commission? If I deleted it would anything happen to any of the connected users who are now ‘live’ connections?

Scroll to “Configuring the Gateway”. If you’ve reset your Stripe Connection, you would just follow those instructions to reconnect your admin to Stripe.

If you delete your Stripe connection as an admin, and then reconnect, I’m not entirely sure what happens to vendor accounts who are already connected. I have a feeling you’ll find out, though. 🙂 I suspect nothing would cause any problems, but it isnt my place to say since I’m not Stripe and I dont operate Stripe’s software on their end.

Yes I will 🙂 I’ll just see what happens. I’ll report back here in case anyone else ever needs to do this.
Thanks very much for your help!

I’m lost at this step for vendors connecting to the site.

    Hi Fred!

Bad boy for bumping a thread with a completely different question. =P

You can ignore that message, the Stripe Gateway handles all that for you. Your vendors click the Connect to Stripe on the dashboard > settings > payments tab and it does all that for them automatically, with pretty graphics!

    Cheers
