Hi, My vendors want to add the shipping cost to their items. Do they have to add the country code for EVERY country in the world? Is there a way to just add per continent? For Example

    Europe: $40
    Africa:$55
    Australia: $60
    South America: $40P

    lease let me know

    thanks

I’m curious, what magical product do you sell that you would actually separate by continent?

The answer unfortunately is no, there is international / national shipping in flat rate, and then country table rate which is, of course, per country not per continent.

it’s seems like a lot of work (and poor user experience) to make vendors list every single country in the world and add shipping rates.

Most products will have some kind of ‘Everywhere else’ function or be able to split tables rates into regions…

Well, that may be your view, and appreciated, however, keep in mind we just hook into WooCommerce. WooCommerce sorts by country, not by continent, nor by planet, nor by any other aspect other than country. We dont write the shopping cart. 😉 We arent about to rewrite WooCommerce, it’s not us to rewrite.

Frankly, shooting from the hip, I’ve NEVER seen any website where they say “Shipping to Asia is $x, Shipping to Australia is $y, Shipping to North America is $z” and if there is, chances are its not a marketplace. I asked what type of products you sell out of curiosity, since this is generally what we’ve seen in the past. The reason I asked that was not to be ignored, but to see if perhaps there was a better way to help you and advise.

I’ll bump this as I’m looking for this as well. Is it possible to use the WooCommerce feature “Shipping Zones” with WC Vendors?

I think it’s pretty common on second-hand marketplaces, this site being an example.

This has been a feature several of my vendors have requested as well.

Currently, with the way Vendor products in a WooCommerce order are configured, as well as now commissions are calculated, this is not a possibility if you wish for the shipping to be calculated and set by the vendors, as well as for the shipping funds to be allocated to the vendor at checkout.
