    Hi guys,

Just wondering how much vendors would be able to customize their shopfront, for example having full width banners, or (if they wanted to) adding background imagery.

Would vendors be able customize the images, colors, fonts, and options of their shops, if comfortable with code, so they could have a completely custom look by tweaking the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly?

    Thanks in advance
    Adam

As is, no- the vendor store pages are not THIS customizable by the vendor, no.
The can add their store banner and icon- but we hook into the WooCommerce archive-product.php template for the vendor pages- so the customization is limited- as it would need to modify the archive-product template for the whole site.

That’s a bummer. I have looked at the way it works on the development/test site and it leaves a lot to the imagination! Is the development site using the latest version of pro?

I tried uploading some images for a banner and profile photo, but I couldn’t see any info regarding ideal sizes?

I have looked at the Fervous site and it looks pretty good, is that using the latest pro version?

    Thanks

You can certainly style that area with css if you wish for it to be different. That is just a basic template there to allow the banners and icon images for the vendor store pages. 🙂
The theme I have on my website is the Social Marketplace by BuddyBoss. I have done quite a bit of my own modification to theme theme, but they do style the banner areas and make the shops more functional and pretty with their theme.

It is NOT running the latest version of WooCommerce and WC Vendors Pro, since BuddyBoss is still getting their theme updated for the latest WooCommere and WC Vendors Pro. they told me it should be updated soon- but I do know know exactly when it will be ready.

    Ah I see.

I am going to be using the WooCommerce galleria theme, and have modified it to suit my business. I am working with a developer, so styling it with css should be no problem. I don’t want major changes, just full width banners and profile photo placement changes.

If css changes are made, would they have to be made in a separate folder, so when WooCommerce updates it won’t break the site?

    Thanks

    Yes, they would.
I believe Galleria is already a child theme- so you could use this, plugin, and add any code snippets to this customization plugin.
