    Hello there!
    How’s it going?

I’ve stumbled upon this support thread https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/divi-theme-rendering-issue-dashboard/ and now wonder if I still need to add this code, in order to make wc vendors pro compatible with the divi theme?

Do you have an update for me?
Have the developers of the divi theme fixed the issue yet?

Thanks and have a nice day.

    Oh one more thing.

So when I am using the divi page builder and then add the [wcv_pro_dashboard] shortcode inside the builder (i.e. in a text or code module), the dashboard appears above everthying else and without any formatting.
Or the site I’ve created with the divi builder is below the WC Pro dashboard.

Is this part of the compatibility issue?

P.s.: It all works fine with the WC Vendors free version

I do not believe that the DIVI authors have changed their theme, no. This is a practice they have integrated into their theme, and it will affect WC Vendors Pro front end forms, as well as other plugins. They use JavaScript to override basic HTML, and disable HTML Anchor links in their javascript. This will break the PRO dashboard functionality, along with other front-end functionality in WC Vendors Pro and other plugins.

    Hello Anna.
    Thanks.
    That’s too bad.
    I am just wondering.
Why does the [wcv_vendor_dashboard] shortcode work, but the [wcv_pro_dashboard] shortcode doesn’t ?

    What’s different?
What part of the code makes the free version work with the theme?

Thank you for your help (I am just curious…)

    Hello

The main difference is that the free dashboard is using very simple HTML elements while our pro dashboard is generating a complicated single page interface to mimic the wp-admin dashboard. To allow complete product management on the majority of themes requires a lot of work and a lot of complicated code. Divi has their builder which makes it easy for you to create any kind of layout you want but at the expense of certain kinds of functionality to other plugins. To allow their builder to be as functional as it is requires even more complicated code. They disable certain features of the html standard to make their code work. This breaks our code and any other plugin that requires the same functionality. This is the only theme I know of that does this. We are not the only plugin developer that have issues with this theme either.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Thanks Jamie. I understand.

I’ve stumbled upon this support thread https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/divi-theme-rendering-issue-dashboard/ and wonder if this code really does the trick, in order to make wc vendors pro compatible with the divi theme?

Maybe you know of other work arounds.
    Any suggestions maybe?

    Thanks

    Hello,

I’m not sure if that works. I’m unable to test every theme and fix that people post on here. All I can suggest is to give it a go and see if it all works. If it does, please report back.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Hi. I am sorry to bother you again Jamie. Still trying to get this to work.

I just can’t get the header (see attachment file) above the WC Vendors Pro Dashboard, even with the divi theme turned off.

I thought shortcodes allow you to integrate code anywhere you want. Please correct me if I misunderstood this. The [wcv_vendor_dashboard] of the free version does what every shortcode does. Also the [wcv_vendorslist],[wcv_shop_settings],[wcv_products vendor=”VENDOR-LOGIN-NAME”],[wcv_pro_dashboard_nav] and any other shortcodes of your plugins. I can use them in custom templates, post forms, etc…everywhere,

    …except the [wcv_pro_dashboard] shortcode.

    I don’t understand…

    cheers,

    Nicholas

    Hello,

Not every shortcode can be used everywhere. There are instances where they will not work in widgets or whatever. What exactly isn’t working in the pro dashboard shortcode?

The image you’ve linked looks like a dashboard for a new vendor with no orders.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Hello. Since I can’t use the [wcv_pro_dashboard] inside the divi page builder I would like to use the shortcode in a custom content template, a post or a page.

The Pro Dashboard seems to be always on top of the page or post no matter what. If I am logged out the “Apply to become a vendor” message is also on top of everything else (see image), even though I pasted the shortcode somewhere else.

The Free Dashboard however is always in place where I want it to be.

    Why is that?

For example: how do I add a banner above the dashboard or other stuff?

    Have a nice day

    Nicholas
