    Hello,

I followed the instructions on how to edit a template by copying the file to my theme folder, but when I did that, it broke the template area apart on my theme… Unless I’m doing something wrong…

What I did was take the “overview.php” file from Reports, and put it into wcvendors under my theme, and it didn’t work. I even tried to copy the file (Copy and Paste), but my FTP client won’t let me (Filezilla).

Anyone able to guide me on how I can copy the template file to my theme because I want to edit it a bit

    Thanks!

    So you copied:

    /wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/templates/dashboard/reports/overview.php

    to:

    /wp-content/themes/YOURTHEME/wc-vendors/dashboard/reports/overview.php ?

If not, do it this way, as this is the right way. 🙂

What do you mean by “COPIED”, like move that file physical over to my theme, or do a copy/paste and leave the original file in plugin/wc vendors pro

I mean copied. I didn’t say move. 🙂 Take it, and copy it into the folder as instructed. If this part is too advanced for you, I would *strongly* suggest getting an experienced webmaster to give you a hand. This is computers 101 stuff here.

So I copied the file, great! But when I make edits, nothing happens 🙁

    I copied to: /wp-content/themes/MY THEME/wc-vendors/dashboard/reports/overview.php ?

    Yup, that’s correct.

Sorry to be a bother, but may I ask why it isn’t accepting my edits?

The edits work great in the Plugin directory, but they won’t work when copied over to my theme.

    much thanks!
