NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

    Quick question. Do we enable confirmation emails in Stripe or is Woo going to handle that for us. I do not want my customers getting two confirmation emails for the same order. Thanks.

    Hi Joey!

    When Stripe pays you, you get:

    1.) WooCommerce New Order Email
    2.) Stripe New Order Email

    Can you disable that? Probably, somewhere in Stripe. It’s not an option through the gateway software at all. You might reach out to Stripe and ask them if there’s a way to do this globally. ANd please do let me know the answer, I’m quite curious myself. 🙂

    Well there is an option in your account settings in Stripe under the email tab that asks what you want emails for. You have the following options:

    Email me for:
    Successful payments
    Application fees
    Email Customers for:
    Successful payments
    Refunds

    This is what threw me off and I don’t want 40 different emails sent and making us look bad. haha

    I assume there is a return hook or something and when stripe processes successfully it sends something back to woo in order to confirm payment and email receipt to customer. I haven’t quite gotten that far yet…. So I asked. lol
