Hi guys. I finally bought Pro! I was hoping to get a bit further down the line before having to raise a support ticket, but hey ho…

I’m getting “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/annakyn/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-pro/public/class-wcvendors-pro-reports-controller.php on line 131” error and not able to activate the plugin.

I’ve seen a few people having similar problems on the forums but they seemed to be fixed in earlier versions. Any ideas where the problem should be? I’m reluctant to mess around too much with other plugins I have running as it’s a live site and was hoping for seamless switch to Pro!

    Thanks…

Tell your webhosting company that they need to use PHP 5.4 or better. PHP 5.4 is even old, it’s been around for almost 15 years. Your hosting company is a dinosaur. 😉 Any version from 5.4 to 7.0 will be fine for PHP. Soon, WordPress will require PHP 5.4+ as well, so now’s a good a time as any to get this done. 🙂

I’d just figured that might be the issue, yep running 5.2.17.

Will get them to update it. Strangely on their website they say they run 5.4 on all their servers! Weird! Maybe time for a new host…

WTF! Really? Changing to PHP 5.4+ is literally one line in your sites config file. What webhost do you use so I know to avoid them? 🙂
