I have to configure the shipping costs per vendor.
This cost is a flate rate : regardless of the number of product references and quantities, the cost is the same.

In order to do the configuration, I use the “Store Flat Rate Shipping” form from the admin/user page (wp-admin/user-edit.php).

I input the “National shipping fee” field, and check the “Charge Once” checkbox. I do the same for International.

When I do the tests, the shipping cost stay the same when a just add one product (whatever can be the quantity of this product), but if I add at another product, the shipping cost is multiplied per 2. If I add a 3rd product, the cost is multiplied per 3 etc.
So it seems impossible to have a real flate rate.

I did the tests with the Country Table Rate, with the same results.

Do I missed something ? What do I have to do to have the same shipping cost whatever can be the number of products and their quantities for noe vendor?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Arnaud,
At this time, we do not have the flat rate as you are describing. Shipping is calculated on a per product basis. If you use our vendor shipping, flat rates can be set, but it will still be calculated per product (the only override we have is for quantity greater than one of the SAME product).

For WC Vendors Pro v 1.4.0 (in production right now), there will be some more options for shipping; if not exactly what you need, very close to it. Work is being done to provide some more options for the Vendor Shipping.

    Hi Anna,
I am using version 1.3.7 and I seem to have the same issue as Arnaud.

I have enabled the option “Charge once for national shipping, even if more than one is purchased” and that does not seem to make any difference in the calculation of the shipping cost if more than one product is being ordered for the same product.

Is this an known bug ?

By the way, I am using the Country Table Rate.

    /Eric

    Eric,
This option should only be available for Flat Rate, not Country Rate.
I see that it (the option for “charge only once”) is showing up in the wp admin > WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Vendor Shipping.
It is not showing up in the front end forms for the vendors, as I can see. Is it on the front-end forms (pro vendor dashboard > settings > shipping) on your site?

This should not be showing as an option for Country Rate in either admin or in the front end forms for the vendors as I am aware; I will double-check on this and see if we can get it removed from the admin if this is the case.

    Hi Anna,
so, you are telling me that there is no way then to no overcharge the client if this last one is ordering more than one item of the same product ?

    @eric.enrico.roy
Currently, QTY override is for flat rate shipping only, it is not available for country rate, unfortunately.
However, we will soon have some more options for Country Table Rate in the 1.4.0 update, with Max spend no more than $X no matter qty (product and store level) being one of the options. Flat rate will also have more options in 1.4.0

I see that these options are showing on the admin screen for Country Table Rate (but not on the vendor’s dashboard > settings > shipping) , which is confusing and misleading. I have submitted that issue.

    Thanks Anna,
That would have been nice to also have a way to better handle the shipping cost for the same product. I am not sure if MAX shipping cost would do the job as normally, the cost for shipping increase if we have more similar items or more items from the same vendor but it does not necessarily double if we buy two items.

Here is a suggestion I have received from one of my vendor.
He wants to charge 10$ for shipping no matter the number of items ordered but have the handling fee (2$ per example) to be charged per item.

    So, if someone ordered 5 similar items, he will be charged (10$ + ( 5 x 2$ )), so 20$.

I am open to new idea but definitely, to charge 10$ “per items” is not acceptable… you can imagine.

Yes- I know exactly what you mean- I actually have the same dilemma with my own marketplace. I do not wish to have each item charged shipping- this deters customers from purchasing more than one item- understandably.
I am looking forward to the new shipping options for all WC Vendors users, as well as for my own marketplace. 🙂

The handling fee can be adjusted on a per product basis. You vendor, with the new shipping options that will be in Pro v1.4.0, should be able to set the shipping as you have described. $10 max no matter how many items ordered; and set a handling fee to $2. The handling fee could then be adjusted per product- f necessary. SO if you have an extra heavy or cumbersome item, you could override the $2 default on that item so it would have a $6 handling fee.. or visa versa.

Now you are talking Anna… thanks a lot, I am anxious to see what will be in Pro v1.4.0.

When is this new version planned to be available in beta testing or in Production ?

    Eric,
I do not know exactly when.. I do know that a good portion of the work for 1.4.0 is done. There is still some left to do.
I think we will have a minor release (1.3.8) that will address a few fixes first, then the big release 1.4.0 with a lot of enhancements, including the much desired shipping options.
It will not be very long, though. If I get a more precise answer, I will let you know.

    Eric,
I will let you know- thank you! Hopefully it will not be long- I know Jamie is working hard to complete the features that will be added in 1.4.0

    Hi Anna,

Do you have any news about the delivery date for this version 1.4 ?
I have a lot of vendors who are waiting to engage the onboarding process since last october because of this problem.

    Thank you in advance !

Hopefully Soon! I do not have a release date. I know Jamie would like to release v1.3.9 very very soon.. this one will have some important bug fixes. Then, he will be able to button up the finishing work on v1.4.0.
It will be great to have these new shipping options- I agree.

    @FERVOUS

    Hi Anna,

Can you clarify in the shipping (I know you are just grtting into the testing).

In Pro v1.4.0, is there a setting in the “table rate” shipping to “set a max $ per order/vendor” no matter how many items are ordered from each vendor (for example the $10 you indicate above) in a table/zone identified through a zipcode range.

And this can be different for each vendor (they define those tables/zones through their dashboards?).

My objective is to allow for “local shipping” (in same city as vendor) where a flat fee of say $10 can be charged no matter how much is purchased at once because a local driver does not care how heavy the package is (within reason of course).

Yet a customer form out of town would be charged differently (because they would then use a commercial courier).
