The pro license I’m working with is under the account “IdeaZone”. This was working at one point, but there was a somewhat recent change which is having products entered through product-edit.php not save the postmeta _stock_status as instock, which means those products are not showing up on the shop page or search results.

Was this a recent change on your end? I’ve checked my product-edit.php and the stock stuff is still there.

I looked at the logic of the products controller for stock status and the product form helper and can confirm this is a bug. If you have “stock status” disabled from the pro form settings, it doesn’t bother setting the postmeta for _stock_status, which means those products aren’t a part of the shop archive or search results if you have WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory > “Hide out of stock items from the catalog” enabled.

If anyone else runs into this, you can “fix” the products by just going Quick Edit > Update from the products page in the backend.

Thanks, I’ll add an issue for Jamie to check this out, we’re almost ready to push v1.2.0 so if it’s broken the fix will be in v1.2.0. Ticket #255

Thanks Ben! Saw it in the changelog – that’s some quick turnaround 🙂

You’re welcome. Every now and then we are fast. 😉 It’s always slow on the “major” releases (1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.2.0) but after that we can push incremental (1.2.x) releases really fast.
