I need help! Every time I select to pay now and save it gives me the following error:

    Error: Invalid userId

What is wrong or what am I doing wrong? I am not able to pay anyone due to this. Please let me know as soon as possible.

Are you trying to manually pay out with PayPal, or just close out commissions manually? A screenshot would be handy, too! 🙂

Ben, I went to payments, selected now and saved to pay out the commission on my test payment. Here is a screen shot.

The “Pay now” button is for using PayPal to send out commissions. You need to have PayPal setup and configured properly for your test account, and setup properly for the main sites account, too. Check out the knowledgebase here for the tutorials on using it, if you have problems, post back here! 🙂 Jamie will probably answer any future questions you have on PayPal, as it’s not a part of the plugin I use whatsoever. I pay my vendors with a check every month.

If your not using PayPal, the pay now button will do nothing and certainly not work. 🙂

I am using paypal. It works great on my site as I have already accepted payments as well as refunded directly from woocommerce. The api seems to be setup and functioning. Not sure what I have setup wrong. I need to be able to pay my customers via the pay now button or schedule.

Can you answer a few things for me

    What are your following:

    PHP Version
    Web Server version
    Wordpress Version
    Mysql Version

    Thanks.

Also are you testing this in sandbox mode or live credentials ?

The error is related to an incorrect API username. The underlying code is actually 2 separate paypal systems the adaptive payments api (taking payments for your store) and the mass payments api (paying your vendors).

    Still working on this.

Jaime, does the manual paying method (now) require the adaptive paypal to be active or just regular paypal? I do not have the adaptive paypal setup but rather my regular paypal with that api in for refunding. Let me know!

I am using it live. I tested it with 3 of my paypal accounts to make sure it was working properly.

This will not work with standard paypal, you need to have your API credentials filled in. Which is why you are getting invalid userId, your standard paypal account needs to be API enabled which will then let you create an app to get the API credentials you need. You will need to apply for this over at

    https://developer.paypal.com/webapps/developer/index

You will need a classic app.

I’ve been testing it with my api creds and it has been working which is why I spent so long trying to debug this issue, DOH!.

Please let me know how you go.

    cheers,

ps. mental note, don’t try working on issues with 2 hours sleep.
