    Hello All,

I’d like to get an idea of the kind of hosting people are using for WooCommerce and WC Vendors.

Can you reply to this thread and give me an idea of the hosting you have, where it is and the kind of technical capacity it has.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

LamerzHost? Those are dirt cheap plans with hardly any flexibility. I’d skip them.

I use wpengine, so far they have been really good. I am on the pro plan. The stage area is a great feature as are backups. I’ve never had an issue with their support, so I recomend them. on this age you can see all the specs and features : http://wpengine.com/plans/

And I’d do my research on WPEngine. I’ve had nothing but problems with them. Do a search on 502 WPEngine, and see what I mean.

They have been “good” about support, when you really are the squeekiest of wheels – but they never actually solve anything – 6 months of frustration with them.

I’m leaning towards siteground atm, and checking out inmotion was well.

Any thoughts on either of these?

    Hello All,

Thanks for the answers, at the moment I custom build my web servers on Amazon Web Services or Digital Ocean using a customised stack I have designed specifically for WordPress and WooCommerce.

I like the idea of dedicated wordpress based hosting like WP-Engine, Pagely and Synthesis. They all offer varying degrees of custom built wordpress stacks.

I’d avoid companies that provide limited resources and cheap hosting plans. They are ALWAYS on shared servers where you have no control over who else is on your machine your website is on. As they say you get what you pay for.

As always do your research and see what you can find. I look forward to reading what others are using.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hey Jamie,

I just registered to ask my own questions about the plugin, but I saw your question and hosting is something I like researching (foundation of a good website, etc..).

For conventional shared hosting, my go to is almost always a company called MDDHosting. Michael who owns the company is extremely active on Web Hosting Talk, and I can probably count the downtime I’ve had in all the years I’ve been with them (accounts on 3 servers) on one hand.

To throw out a list of excellent hosts I’ve been with, evaluated, or had clients on:

    Dediserve
    euroVPS
    MDDHosting
    SiteGround
    StableHost

I’d be happy to host a site on any of the above.

    Hope that helps!
    Greg
