    Hey there,

We’re currently starting out with WC Vendors. This is a two part question. Our store is set up specifically for downloadable/virtual digital software.

On the one hand, vendors would like to automatically add their customers to a CRM or mail program like Mailchimp, so that they can communicate with them easily. The reasons for this are mostly Product updates / bug reports / list management. For bug reports I’m assuming people would use the comments on the product page. But for vendors to automatically manage their list of customers for product updates/email upsells, I am under the impression that I can’t easily add a Mailchimp or other Sync plugin, because all the info will be configured for a single Mailchimp account (not individual vendors).

Does anyone know if something like the Woocommerce for Zapier plugin might let a vendor automatically send info to a third party, or if there is some other plugin that would give the vendors easier access to their customer list + communication options with their customers? (Or if there are additional features in Pro to allow communication with customers/customer management.)

The second thing is related. Vendors have the need to send IPN data to a licensing system that automatically creates licenses when customers purchase. Literally all we’d need to do is set up a notify_url for each product upon order completion. It doesn’t seem like we can do this via the free Paypal plugin, and in fact any gateway I have found doesn’t allow the vendor to set any additional variables. I’m guessing we’d have to custom code this as some sort of hook that a vendor adds. But as we’ve never done custom wordpress coding or plugin development, I’m wondering if this is the kind of thing that we could do in Pro or if anyone might’ve seen such a plugin that would let this happen?

Much gratitude for this plugin. We will likely be Pro customers regardless because of the additional features!

    Thanks! 🙂

1.) Good question on MailChimp, I have no idea! 🙂 In WC Vendors Pro you can easily export all your orders as a vendor including emails, so that might be a step #1 for the MailChimp software. Automating it might be possible, but I dont know enough about MailChimp to really say for sure. Perhaps this is where you can become a test guinea pig and tell us what you need our plugin to do, and we’ll do our best to see if we can make it do that. 🙂

2.) You might check out WooCommerce API Manager. That seems like it might meet your requirements. Again, read the docs extensively and research first since it is indeed a paid plugin.

    Ben
