I am using you Stripe checkout in test mode but keep getting internal server error message when trying to complete the test checkout process.

I disabled all plugins, switched to Storefront theme, after that the error log displayed the following lines:

[21-Nov-2016 18:20:16 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/modafirma/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-gateway-stripe-connect/classes/lib/Stripe/ApiRequestor.php on line 20
[21-Nov-2016 18:29:47 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding() in /home/modafirma/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/wc-vendors-gateway-stripe-connect/classes/lib/Stripe/ApiRequestor.php on line 20

Can you please help? Is this some issue with settings?

Tell your webhosting company they need to install the PHP GD library. It’s shocking they dont have it installed yet, it’s pretty standard on like *every* hosting companies platform ever.

Google the error, you’ll see what to do. Google “Call to undefined function mb_detect_encoding”.

    cheers

    SUHOSIN Installed: –
MySQL Version: 5.5.52 – We recommend a minimum MySQL version of 5.6. See: WordPress Requirements
    Max Upload Size: 2 MB
    Default Timezone is UTC:
    fsockopen/cURL:
SoapClient: Your server does not have the SoapClient class enabled – some gateway plugins which use SOAP may not work as expected.
    DOMDocument:
    GZip:
Multibyte String: Your server does not support the mbstring functions – this is required for better character encoding. Some fallbacks will be used instead for it.

Here are some items in red in the system status report. Would it be the likely reason for those Stripe errors?
