From my testing, the handling fee is calculated as a percentage of the shipping fee alone. So, the handling fee is multiplied if the shipping is multiplied. And if the shipping fee is only charged once for multiples of the same product, then the handling fee also is charged only once.
If this is all correct then I don’t see a functional difference between setting the handling fee and merely adding the fee manually. I may as well do the math myself and set the result as the shipping fee. I’m asking only because this seems odd. I had expected the handling fee to be charged once for each quantity of a product, or for it to be calculated off of the product subtotal.
