I would like to make a marketplace for software solutions. Most of our market related solutions will large in size may be in 1000+Mb in size. So I would like to conform before purchasing.

    No problem!

Of course, 1GB size of files would require a fair amount of storage space, too, if you had thousands of them. If you find yourself with terabytes of data and no way to manage it let us know we’ll be happy to work on a custom hosted marketplace solution for you.

Yes, I know that I will face space issue in future. For now my hosted server says that you have unlimited space in your plan. Can we use third party URL for downloadable product, means to say we will upload files into other servers or our vendors use their own hosting servers for file uploading. Will this works fine for us.

For now my hosted server says that you have unlimited space in your plan.

Yea, except that’s not how LIFE works. You dont ever get unlimited. Unlimited doesnt exist. Soon as you start filling their shared webserver with 1GB files in bulk you’ll get turned off. I warned ya, so, just saying, expect the worse if you pay for the least amount of hosting possible.

External / third party URLs are of course fine for downloadable products. Try it. You’d see it works already. 🙂

    Thanks Ben,
    1) Actually problem is that I have paid them for two Years. 6 Months passed and now I want to setup my marketplace there and will see progress of my work. If I get my expected output from marketplace then I will prefer your hosting.
    2) Kindly suggest some attractive themes which provide good support for WC Vendors and easily customize as needed. I am going to select Social Marketplace. Would you recommend this or suggest someone else like this.
    3) I would like to directly start from WC Vendors Pro. Is WC Vendors Pro need WC Vendors free to run simultaneously.
    4) When did your next update will come? I think your last update was at the star of 2016. A lot of people waiting for your next release that I have seen at support form.
    5) I want to setup another marketplace for domain buying and selling, will WC Vendors Pro works for me or you have another solution. Kindly recommend some solution like WC Vendors if this will not work for this.

    Hello,
    2) Social Marketplace is good if you want all of the social aspects of buddypress married with WC Vendors & WC Vendors Pro. Their support is.. slow.. but there is a page on facebook that users of this theme have made: https://www.facebook.com/groups/OneSocialMarketplace
There are a lot of themes that work well with WC Vendors though. There is also ReHub : Vendor. It is on Themeforest. Staying with a more simple theme like Storefront or GeneratePress allows you to deign more yourself, — those two themes are plain, meant to be customized by the user – but very stable. The more shit you add to a theme, the more issues you are bound to have in the future.

    3) They must run simultaneously.
    First install and configure WooCommerce,
then install and configure WC Vendors Free.
Than install and configure WC Vendors Pro. All run at the same time. https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/wc-vendors-pro-setup-guide/

4)We have had 25 releases since October 2015. 😉 Our last update was January 28th. Our next MAJOR release (version 1.4.0) will be in early April.

    5) Honestly, I do not know… perhaps this can be sold as a virtual product? I will check on this one..

    Hi,
I have read this artical about multi seller plugins. In this artical the writer says about WC Vendors “Still the plugin is lacking some advanced WooCommerce features”. Please have a look at this artical: http://webcusp.com/how-to-develop-multi-seller-shopping-cart-with-wordpress/
    What you say about this?

I say that article was written by someone trying to sell their product or get a commission and not even remotely close to accurate.

This one thing is true; All marketplaces go to WC Vendors in the end. I’ve said it for years.

Compare active installs. We power more marketplaces than all of our competitors COMBINED AND MULTIPLIED. So yea, they kinda resort to stupid blog articles where they “Compare features”. It’s all bullshit. Their comparison tables are made by browsing websites looking for screenshots. The jackasses that write these articles dont even use the software.

So, do what you want now, in the end, we’ll be here ready to support your site once you buy our software.

Yeah that was written by someone who is affiliated with another multi-vendor plugin. There are a lot of those out there.

    Thanks Ben,
After reading the artical I can’t believe therefore I have to conform this thing and made this thing private. I am just facing one problem now that is selection a theme. The above recommended theme are more simple. I would not like to use attractive like Social Market Place.
And kindly let me know about my 2nd marketplace for domain buying and selling. Anna told me that she will check. If WC Vendors does not work for this then suggest something else because you people know well about these kind of problems.

    Hello,
I also suggested GeneratePress and WooCommerce Storefront. Those are far more simple themes that you can customize and add to rather than having the complicated set-up of the others.
Domain buying and selling: if it can be sold as a physical, downloadable or virtual product type, then it can be listed as a woocommerce product.
If you have to build in a licensing system and everything you’d need to assign the domain name properly, then you’d need custom work for this to work on virtually any woocommerce based marketplace.

I have not seen some options yet in free version like products social sharing buttons, products labels etc. Is these available in Pro version? Kindly let me know.
Second thing is that I am from Pakistan and most of people here have not credit card but we have a lot of local money transfer resources so I would like to use them for local users like https://www.daraz.pk/. This is very famous and have a lot of payment gateways and have our local online money transfer like mobicash, easypaisa ect. How I can integrate all these for my Vendors as well as users?
