    Dear Amazing WCVendors Support Team,
I am looking for a way to get rid of the excess whitespace and the redundant page headers in the Storefront theme (they look horrible on mobile and even using widgets on mobile is a problem).
Actually, I am completely wide open to your input about what a worthwhile theme to use with WCVendorsPro is.
I am so desperate I am even willing to build it myself if necessary, but I do not want to break WCVendorsPro.
Would Beaver Builder or Visual Composer be able to produce a WCVendors Pro theme without breaking anything in v1.2.1? I am basically trying to make a mini-eBay and/or mini-Etsy where every user can sell items without paying an arm and a leg in fees.
Again, I want your input about what the best way to go to make your amazing product look awesome on my site and still function the way it is intended.
    Thanks in advance,
    Richard

    Dear Amazing WCVendors Member, ( 🙂 )

Beaver Builder and Visual Composer can both be used with WC Vendors Pro, I dont know of any incompatibilities. I would advise a word of caution against both of them, that once you design your site with them, you’re STUCK WITH THEM and changing to a regular theme would be near impossible because of all the garbage they clutter posts up with. That said, people do use them, and some people like them and have success. It’s up to you to do what you see fit for your own website. 🙂

Mini eBay would be best with Pro and WooCommerce Simple Auctions Integration plugin we offer on the “Our Plugins” menu link. You’d also need WooCommerce Simple Auctions from CodeCanyon to make the integration work. Then, instantly, you have an eBay!

Storefront is a great theme. It’s great because it’s CODED correctly. It’s not so great on the style side, I personally find it rather ugly. But any time you need to test if a theme is causing an issue, if it works on Storefront, but not on your other theme, it’s the theme that is the problem. Clearing out white spaces and cleaning up headers isn’t our cup of tea, that’s your development elbow grease you have to work through. We’re plugin guys, not theme guys. 😉

BuddyBoss, a maker of fantastic themes, is making a theme to be released in a few weeks that is specifically designed to work with WC Vendors and WC Vendors only. Your best bet — in my humble opinion — is to wait for that theme. You’ll get an email about it when they release it, we’ll be spamming your inbox (just once ;)).

Ben you are 99 kinds of awesome – – thank you for the info – – will definitely follow your recommendation and wait for the BuddyBoss theme.

Will this BuddyBoss theme be something I need BuddyPress for? I hope not because I have not had a positive experience with BuddyPress. I really just want a site where users can find each other with as minimal personal information exchanged (such as when they buy or sell from each other as on eBay)…

Hi there! My name is Robby. I’m one of the Beaver Builder guys.

@dataguy: Thanks a ton for considering BB. Feel free to ping me with any questions: robby [at] fastlinemedia [dot] com

@ben: I know exactly the problem you mention, but data portability has been a major focus point of ours. We separate our theme from our page builder plugin, so you can easily change themes or use our page builder with any theme.

Also, if you decided to stop using Beaver Builder, we port all of the text and image content from your pages back into the WordPress editor. There’s no shortcodes or any unreadable code left behind. We don’t want people to be stuck with us if they don’t want to be.

I hope you don’t mind me popping in here to clarify. This particular “feature” is something we’re very proud of, though. =)

    Thanks!

@datadude — You shouldnt need BuddyPress for the new theme, but if you used it, you’d get extra functionality with it. BuddyPress is indeed crude, and ugly. But the BuddyBoss guys make it work perfectly — and beautifully.

PS — This theme on wcvendors.com is a BuddyBoss theme. Notice how well the forums integrate? 🙂
