    Hi Guys,

So I have started playing around with the front end dashboard and on the Maintain products I noticed a few things.

    1) I can save drafts but I can’t do anything with it.
    2) I should be able to view my products which are currently pending approval. This would allow as a vendor to see what products the have already been submitted. Perhaps drafts as well while the drafts should allow me to edit them later and submit through status change or something.
    3) Added functionality would be to call back submitted products. Humans do make mistakes. 🙂

In addition, anyway I can configure multiple colors?

    Hi mlodhia,

1.) If you have a draft saved, when you view your product listing its status will say “Draft”. If you want to make the draft live, simply edit the product and save your changes and it will publish it. The status will then change to “Online”.

2.) You can, the Status will say Pending Approval. All of the status fields will say either Online, Scheduled, Draft, Pending Approval, or Trash.

3.) I think you mean, that if a vendor submits a product that needs some fixing first, you can reject it and send it back to the Vendor for editing? If so, that’s a great idea. 🙂 We’ll add it to our list.

4.) Adding colors means adding variations/attributes, which will be possible in Pro v1.2.0.

Ahh, I see whats going on.

If the product is in draft and the admin has the disallow edit parameter for live products, it does not allow the edit. The only option available is delete and view. This might be a bug. Just playing with it a little.

Sorry I might have jumped the gun. Not sure why this is the case but it takes some time to reflect the products you add from the front end. At least for me. :S

as for 3. Yup. So at the moment if as a vendor I make a mistake and submit for approval, I would have to wait for the admin to reject. That way I can just callback.

Another one would be to request a change on a live product. The ability to edit is there but it would directly change the live product which is a little too risky.

    Hey Ben,

Just wondering if you meant 1.02 or 1.20?

Neither! Version 1.2.0. 🙂 We are currently on v1.0.1 working on v1.0.2, then comes v1.1.0, then v1.2.0. 🙂

Oh Fudge, That just made me fall of my chair. My key vendors are in apparel and this was a must for me.

Any timelines to when you expect to be on 1.20?

1.2.0 is going to be most likely 30-45 days away. We can only code so fast!

Just for comparisons sake, WC Vendors Pro is 89,000 lines of code. WordPress is 370,000 lines of code, and is supported by hundreds of developers. We are just 2. 🙂

Yup. As a dev I totally realize the same. Was just wondering on how soon will you be pushing major updates. 30-45 days is awesome and is really fast. I can do with that. Just need to inform vendor we will take care of the pushing of the variable products for the time being. They can pass us excel sheets. I don’t feel confident is giving admin panel access. I haven’t launched yet so as long as I can demo and document what they would be able to utilize now and in future. So as long as they are aware. It also makes us look like we’re continuously working for them. Ha!

    Any timeline for 1.02?
