    Hi!

I’ve been searching this forum and google and am having trouble finding the answer…

Do I need an adaptive payments api if I want to pay commissions using the mass pay option of once per month for example?

    Ta!

Hi Michelle! You would need the adaptive payments API for using PayPal to pay vendors.

This thread should help you out:

    -and-

    https://www.wcvendors.com/knowledgebase/wcvendors-setup-guide/

Let me know if that helps!

Thanks! Yes I’ve read both of those. I just wasn’t completely sure if you needed the API if you weren’t using the auto function.

Ok, so I’m halfway through an application. But some of the questions are confusing me as for what I need for this to work.

Do you know of anyone I could contact who could help with the application.

Actually another question I have about Mass pay is the fees but do I start a different thread? I’ll put the question here and you can tell me if I need to start a new thread. 🙂 I’ve read up that the Mass Pay fees are 2% up to $1.25 per transaction (for AUD to AUD that is). Does that fee relate to EACH and EVERY transaction in the ONE Mass Pay payment process or to the entire payment process?

I cant help you with how their fees work. That’s a for-PayPal question. 🙂

As for the app itself, what questions are the difficult ones?

🙂 yeah it probably is a paypal question – was just wondering if there was someone out there who had some experience.

So as for the difficult questions – where do I start?!!

So in terms of “Services used by App”
I’m assuming “Basic Payments” is the one I click?

And then which service do I need within Basic Payments?

Checkout Send Money or Parallel Payments – yes?
    Currency Conversion – yes?
    Get Payment Details – yes?
    Implicit Send Money – yes?
    MECL (deprecated) – no obviously.
    Personal Payment (P2P)?
    Refunds or Chargebacks – yes?

I don’t need Chained Payments or Preapprovals do I?

I’ll leave it at that for now!

    Implicit Send Money – y
    MECL (deprecated) – n
    Personal Payment (P2P) n

    cheers,

    Jamie.

I’m having issues with this as well. I just tried to trigger an instant payout.. I’ve set up the adaptive payout API and the system told me I need to activate mass pay with paypal.

Failure. User is blocked (10329): We’re sorry, but your PayPal account isn’t currently eligible to send mass payments. Please contact either PayPal Customer Service or your account manager..

Does that make sense? Or do I have a setting wrong somewhere?

    Leigh,
The scheduled payments and the NOW payment option do require the mass pay capability.
Please ensure that the paypal account you used when applying for the paypal adaptive payments is a business account, ad that paypal has activated mass pay for you, you’ll need to discuss this with paypal. This seems to be a common issue lately, and they seem to be limiting their use of mass pay.
You should still be able to use the instant payments with paypal adaptive payments, but without mass pay you cannot use scheduled or NOW.

    Ah. I figured as much.

Ok, I’ll get that set up!

thanks for your help and quick response!
