    Hi someone,

I purchased WC Vendor Pro few days/weeks ago. Now I purchased Social Marketplace from Buddy Press. I tried to install it bu everything went wrong. The whole page just turneed white there was no admin anymore and I couldn’t change anything anymore. I had to reinstall WordPress from scratch and when I tried to activate WC Vendor Pro again it said that I had Exceeded maximum number of activations. Well, I just wanted to activate the one license I have. I paid for this so please help me out. I tried several things and now just want it to work and deliver what I paid for.

    cheers,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew:
Oh, I am sorry to hear that happened. I do not know why that occurred when you tried to install your new theme!

If you visit your account page for your license key here on wcvendors.com : https://www.wcvendors.com/my-account/my-api-keys/ and check the “delete” button…. you can then go back to your website and re-activate the key.

If this fails, don’t worry too much—– you can still use wc vendors pro- it will function normally. You just will not be able to update pro automatically. You’ll get an email when any new update is ready for wc vendors pro.

Let me know if this works for you.

The case is already resolved. But as a customer you get plugins and themes from different resources and sometimes you just don’t know where to get advice. It seems that the ‘Buddy Press re-order plugin’ disturbed everything. As long as I don’t install that it is oke. Should have gone to Buddy Press so apologies for my frantic message.

    cheers, Andrew.

    Andrew,
I’m glad you were able to get the site up now. 🙂
Thanks for reminding me— I actually had an issue with the BP reorder plugin also when I was trying to set up the onesocial/social marketplace theme. They recommend that you use that plugin, but when I tried to set it up, it caused my site to go into cardiac arrest. I meant to let them know about this, but I forgot. I will go and notify them at buddyboss that this plugin is causing this issue for people.

Let us know if you need help with anything else.

    Hi Anna,

thank you! And I must apologize for my frantic behaviour sometimes. When things go wrong I go in the panic mode first. Thaen I write a frantic email. than I try to solve it myself and sometimes I succeed that.
But fact is this: I’ve worked for 5 years on this new business plan. A lot of people helped me with it. A lot depends on it. I am building a marketplace for artists. I just have to succeed.
It is my way to serve people and society, so I have to make it work. So I do need help from time to time in the beginning. I hope that when there is something that I can find some help here. When I become more accustomed I can help others too.,

    My site is: dominodesign.org

it is only in the beginning stages. Maybe sometimes you could visit it and provide some constructive comments?

    thanks,

    cheers, Andrew.

    Andrew,
No worries, I understand. It is really frustrating and sometimes scary when you are working on a site and things go wrong. And you are right- it is also difficult to be sure who and where you should ask for help.
It sounds like you have a project that you are very passionate about- and that’s great! Keep up the hard work. You’ll learn more and more as you go. When I began my business plan two years ago, I knew so much less than I do now. You’ll get it! 🙂

Let us know if you need help. And if we cannot help, we’ll try to either teach you or send you to the right person or channel for help.

Here’s one thing that will help your panic mode: if you have not done so already, have a staging / dev site running that you do your work on before submitting to your “real” site. This way you can test anything you want, and if you nuke your site, you can start with a fresh staging site. I recommend : wp staging

    Hello,
Did you recently update? I am guessing you are using the Social Marketplace by BuddyBoss (OneSocial theme and BuddyBoss Marketplace plugin), correct? We do not make the Sellers and Store pages.. they have that in their theme & plugin.

WooCommerce’s recent update to 3.0++ was a major update.
Please be sure you are running the following:
    WC Vendors Pro v1.4.3
    WC Vendors (free) v1.9.11
    WooCommerce v3.0.7
    OneSocial Theme v1.3.0
    Marketplace plugin (buddyboss) v1.4.1

    hi Anna,

thank you for your respons! At the moment miracilously the pages re-apeared. I have to say something about WordPress. Everybody is screaming wow and AAAh about how wonderful WordPress is. I have several websites, I have two more webshops, and they are just rocksteady, robust, they work All the time. This story is not about WC Vendors but about WordPress so don’t take it personally, please. In wordpress if you install a wrong plug-in, the whole site dissapeares, and many other issues. On my other sites and shops, which includes a HTML site and a webshop frm a certain firm, well, they just work, I log in and bingo. I personally think WordPress still has a very long way to go before it gets stable and deliveres to clients what they need: a stable environment.
Mu comment was not about WC Vendors with wich I am still very happy and will continue to use…

    best regards,

    Andrew.

Glad it is now working– please do let me know if you need help with anything else. I am glad to assist.
Do make sure you are running the current version of the theme and plugins, though, so that everything is up to date.

Yeah- WordPress has it’s challenges– but WordPress is amazing in that you can do virtually anything with it. 😉 And in that quest, you’ll find some things that work- some that don’t- some that need some love to work.
