I am running into issues with having vendors that are located off-site (two packages going out for one order). Let’s say I have a store with 1 vendor. A customer checks out with 1 item from my store and 1 item from my vendor. Let’s say I ship my items, should I mark the order as completed? If so, how does the customer know whether the vendor has completed their end of the deal yet? When they go to My Account and view the order, it shows as completed. If I mark it as complete, the customer sees it as complete and then gets confused when the package arrives with only items from my store.

On a related note, the plugin seems to support “Shipment Tracking” by Mike Jolley/Woothemes, but doesn’t support multiple packages with different tracking numbers. As a vendor, you can view/edit tracking details for any given order, but there’s only one stored number. I assume this would have to be taken up with the author of that plugin, Jason Judge, but the template for getting this info is located in the WC Vendors plugin.

When a vendor marks an order shipped or adds a note the buyer gets an email with that content in it. It does not change the status of the order from processing to completed, WC Vendors doesnt change order statuses for you, payment gateways and admins do that. Every site is different in how they want to operate of course.

In Pro, we’ll have our own Shipment Tracking module included in it. It’s already written. 🙂 So that problem is solved! 🙂

Hmm, okay so emails are how customers are informed about that. Kinda iffy if they use the UI to stay informed but it works.

Good to know about the pro version! You’ll have my sale when that comes out. 🙂

The Order Notes form that pops up seems to be hidden behind other content on the page and the user must tab into the text field – it is not possible click on it and add text.
How would I adjust the z-index for this so the Order Note form always appears on top of all the page content?

All depends on how your theme is forcing their odd styles on you. 🙂
