NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

As of August 31, 2017 (12am EST) our support forums will be retired (read-only), and we will be moving to a support ticket system.  This will allow us to better organize and answer support requests, and provide a more personalized experience as we assist our customers.

    Hi guys, just bought pro and was wondering when a vendor marks the item as shipped it still says processing in the admin side, why does this not change to complete ?

    Hi David,

    WC Vendors does not change the *status* of an order. That’s your job as the admin. 🙂 What would happen if a customer bought 3 items, all from different vendors? Then one vendor marking shipped changing it to completed would be false since two other vendors havent shipped. Changing order statuses as a vendor is dangerous functionality. Processing means order paid. Completed means order paid and “nothing else to do”. They are for the most part essentially the same thing. You can review the order notes and see which vendors shipped what, of course.




    I know this sounds daft, but the less work for admins the better 😉 in my perfect world, an order from 3 vendors would be 3 separate invoices and when they mark them as shipped thats it they change to complete.

    I agree with david. that’s why we purchased pro to get a pro solution. maybe it can be solved soon since the issue in 2015 or it can be added in next version release.

    WC Vendors Support

    Yup, in WC Vendors Free v2.0.0 (under development) orders can be created as child orders so all one vendors products are in one order id. This will allow admins to finer tune order status controls if admins wish to do that. Will be ready in the near future, but no ETA quite yet, still developing….. With that being in Free, of course, it would be in Pro as well. Free handles all the order controller logic for Pro.
