    Hello,
I’ve got an issue in Pro with Orders not showing on the Dashboard or the Orders tab. I’ve checked for this particular vendor in the Pro dashboard and the Free dashboard and it’s not showing up. I’ve also changed the dates so the range includes future dates (to the end of March) and still nothing is showing.

All the orders show correctly in the WP Admin, though. (They all have a status of Processing.)

    Your help is appreciated!

Using the latest versions of WC Vendors and WC Vendors Pro and WooCommerce, and we’re on the latest version of WordPress.

    Hi Jennifer,

The order status of Processing is fine, that’s good. Processing or Completed orders will show to vendors.

1.) Is the product purchased owned by the vendor in question?

2.) Is the commission price $0? (If so, they wont see $0 commission orders)

    3.) Running Free 1.8.7 and Pro 1.2.3?

    Hi there! A few answers:

    1. The vendor is set correctly in the Vendor drop down, but the Vendor herself didn’t create the product. (In our shop, an admin creates the products using a spreadsheet imported into our backend and then the product is assigned to the vendor once it’s created).

    2. Definitely not zero commission. In the email notification received by the vendor, the commission amount is showing, and our base options has a percentage set (30%).

    3. Yes, running both those versions.

Is the fact the product isn’t created by the vendor herself the problem?

Whoever creates the product does not matter. It’s whoever owns it *at the time of purchase* that matters. We just go by whoever the post_author is, and it sounds like you have that set correctly.

If you’d like to provide some login credentials and your site URL for the admin and the vendor *and* exact steps to replicate the issue you’re seeing, I’d be happy to hop on and see what the issue is. (set as private reply)

    Cheers

By the way, this is a staging site, so feel free to create a product if you need to do more testing. It won’t harm anything.

Variable products arent supported by Pro till v1.3.0. After v1.3.0 if this is still an issue, let us know. 🙂 You should not be using something that is not supported by the plugin without expecting problems. There’s no variable products code in Pro, so everything will break by using them.

Got it. Guess we’ll have to use a different plugin because we need to launch in two weeks…unless you think 1.3.0 will come out before then.

Sorry about that. This did work just fine; when I purchased it at the time I didn’t realize it wouldn’t work with variations and I also didn’t realize the client I was working with would have just about all variable products.

What I would recommend is disabling Pro for now, and using the Free dashboard. Then, when Pro v1.3.0 is out very very shortly after your launch, install and activate and you’ll be good to go. Switching to another plugin would be a poor choice, since other plugins barely even have 1/3 of the Pro features, let alone a full fledged front end dashboard. Food for thought, anyway. If there were other plugins out there that actually had a comparable feature set as Pro, we wouldn’t even bother making Pro since there’s no need. We’re #1 for a reason, after all. 400% more installs than any other vendor plugin. 🙂

I didn’t realize free would support variable products. I’ll see if that works. Like i said, pretty much everything worked in testing except for the vendor being able to view their own sales. And I can always redirect to WP-admin for vendors to manage their variables. I’m OK with that. Will Stripe still work with the free version? (We don’t need to pay vendors with Stripe, but I know we want to offer it as a payment option for customers).

Yup! Free supports variable products because all WC Vendors Free does is allow the vendors to see/use the back end WooCommerce add/edit product page. So, all that stuff works. Pro uses its own front end form, and that requires it to be coded, same with all the other aspects such as the orders dashboard and such. Once v1.3.0 of Pro comes out, install, activate, and enjoy the new front end dashboard. You can tell your vendors you heavily updated your site because they are so awesome, and they’ll be amazed at the improvements you’ve made. 🙂

Stripe works with Free & Pro no problemo.

I deactivated Pro and made another purchase and the order still doesn’t show in the vendor’s free dashboard. Should I just start all over again and create a new variable product?

If that’s the case, then you’ve got some issues with how your variable product itself is configured. They are pretty complex to add correctly. It’s a steep learning curve. I’d start by googling “WooCommerce Variable Product Tutorial” and go from there!

I’ve worked with WooCommerce a long time and am definitely familiar with how complex the Variable products are. I’ve double-checked though and I know these products are set up correctly.
    – Each variable product has a price.
    – Each variable product has “Manage Stock” checked and a quantity.
    – Attributes are set up correctly for each product (otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to generate the variations).

The first time I deactivated Pro, I ran a test and realized that the commission had reset to 0 because when I saw all the vendor emails, the commission was marked as zero. I fixed this and put a percentage of 30% and made two more purchases. The commissions show up correctly in the vendor email but the sales still don’t show up in the dashboard.

I even created a new variable product after I deactivated pro to make sure I was starting with a fresh product, and that sale stubbornly won’t show up.

I then went a created a simple product just to make sure that worked, and that sale STILL won’t show up in the dashboard. But if I log in as the vendor, all the Products are correctly attributed to me, I just can’t see any sales whatsoever.

Thoughts? Like I said, literally everything else about this plugin is working except for the fact a vendor can’t see her own sales.

Thanks Jennifer, I really appreciate your detailed replies. Helps me support you that much faster. 🙂 My next suggestion was going to be configure a simple product and test. I’m curious, you’re likely testing a test product with the same vendor over and over again. Which, is good. I’m wondering if you have a commission override on the vendors account that is mistakingly giving that vendor 0% commission? Edit the vendors user account, and look at the commission override. Is it set at all? See attached pics, make sure it looks like the “GOOD” screenshot. 🙂

Also, on the wp-admin > Woo > Commissions screen, is it showing $0 for commissions, or no entry for the orders at all?

I disabled Pro, so I don’t have the exact screenshot you have, but this is what mine looks like when I edit the Vendor in the Users panel (screenshot attached).

Also, if I go to Woo > Commissions, it’s completely blank (screenshot also attached). There are now 8 orders under Orders, though.

And just in case, also attached is a screenshot of what I see when I go to Woo > WC Vendors (again, I’m on the free version, Pro is disabled).

Thanks! Everything appears to be configured correctly. If you can share an admin username/pass, vendor username/pass, and the URL to your site, I’d be happy to hop on and check things out and find the issue. Set as a private reply.

First time I’ve ever seen this issue — and it’s been fixed. Someone deleted your wp_pv_commission table. No commissions were being logged, because the table didnt exist. It could be that when WC Vendors was installed, that there was a mysql connectivity issue and the database table simply was not created, or that it was accidentally deleted by one of your admins. Either way, I created it manually using the SQL Executioner plugin (still active) and verified it was there with the Database Browser plugin (still active).

I then tested the simple product. Commission logged, works great.

Next, I enabled Pro, and tested the variable products. Commission logged works great.

Then, I went to the Pro /designer-dashboard/ as the vendor to verify the order shows up. It does.

Finally, I went to the Free /vendor-dashboard/ as the vendor to verify the order shows up. It does there, too.

I would run through and re-visit all the issues you were having since the databases table was missing for commissions. I hope you’ll have a much better experience now. 🙂

Wow! That was crazy. Thanks so much for figuring that out, as I would have never figured it out. Some old tables were cleaned out of that database at some point, and I probably accidentally deleted that one, not knowing what plugin it was connected to. But thanks so much. I did make a purchase of a variable product and it appeared.

One last question, now that I can see what’s in the dashboard: There is a link for each order that you can click to mark it as shipped. (I tried that with one order and it does show up as a note in Orders that the vendor marked it as shipped when I check as the admin, though the order is still marked as Processing.) Couple of questions about this:

    1. When a vendor marks an order as shipped, does any notification go out to the customer?

    2. (And this is probably more important)…We have the YITH Order Tracking plugin installed (the pro version). It can be found here: http://yithemes.com/docs-plugins/yith-woocommerce-order-tracking/

This plugin is installed because we’d like vendors to be able to be able to enter the tracking number of the package and the service used. If you look at an order while logged in as an administrator (Woo > Orders), you’ll see a panel for this in the top right corner. A screenshot is attached. Is there any way to integrate this into the vendor dashboard?

Again, thanks for all the help, this has been top notch!

IT WAS YOUUUUUUUU! 🙂 🙂 Glad it’s all sorted out.

1.) Yes. The customer receives an email notification saying that the shop name has shipped their order. In Pro, it also includes the tracking number if they added it.

2.) No. Integrating the YITH plugin would not be possible. Pro already has a shipment tracking system built in. Free does not. What vendors used to do in Free before Pro came out is they’d add a “note” to the order with the tracking number and sometimes even a thank you message or whatever. 🙂

Got it. I turned Pro back on since I’m going to redirect vendors to update their variable products in the wp-admin dashboard anyway and can let everything else be handled by the Pro dashboard. One more wrinkle though:

The recent orders are showing on the dashboard for my vendor, but if you click “View All” or go to the Orders tab, that says “No Orders Found.” Screenshots attached. I’m guessing that if the orders showed up properly on the order tab, that’s where someone could enter the shipping info?

You might just be seeing a new bug, where if you change the date to date+1 (so if today is 3/15, change the end date to 3/16) then the order shows. We’ll be pushing Pro v1.2.4 with that fix and a few other little minor things in it within a day that will fix that. I just reviewed the /designer-dashboard/ page and saw the two sales in the pretty pie chart.

Oh yes, I saw someone post about that bug before. I did change the date and it did show. And I see where the tracking info goes and where to mark as shipped. Thanks so much! This has been excellent support, can’t wait until Pro 1.3 comes out!

Success! When you see v1.2.4 push then update to fix this and you’re good to go till v1.3.0!

    Hi Ben!
Sorry to bother you again, but I’ve had to do some fixes to the staging environment of the site I was working on, and when I re-installed WC Vendors Pro, it seemed that missing commission database didn’t get created for some reason. Do you think you can send me the SQL command to create that database so I can make sure things are working fine? Thanks!

(I have access to phpMyAdmin and I’m pretty handy with SQL, so I can probably take it from there once I have the correct command.)

Sure, on your site, wp-admin > Tools > SQL Executioner is the area you can enter arbitrary SQL commands and it’ll take them and do what your command says to do.

But first, you need to know your WordPress database prefix. Open phpMyAdmin, and look for your users table. By default, it’s wp_users. However, you might be sdlkfj_users instead.

So, let’s assume your prefix is still wp_ and everything after that is the table name. You’d have a wp_users, wp_posts, wp_options, etc… Notice the trend is they all start with wp_ — THAT IS THE IMPORTANT PART! 🙂

    CREATE TABLE wp_pv_commission (
    			id bigint(20) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
    			product_id bigint(20) NOT NULL,
    			order_id bigint(20) NOT NULL,
    			vendor_id bigint(20) NOT NULL,
    			total_due decimal(20,2) NOT NULL,
qty BIGINT( 20 ) NOT NULL,
    			total_shipping decimal(20,2) NOT NULL,
    			tax decimal(20,2) NOT NULL,
status varchar(20) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'due',
time datetime DEFAULT '0000-00-00 00:00:00' NOT NULL,
    			UNIQUE KEY id (id)
    		);

Just change the wp_ on the first line to your_prefix_ if it’s different than wp_

Copy/paste that into SQL Executioner, and execute it! 🙂

PS — I made the instructions a bit more novice friendly, despite you saying you’re good with SQL/phpMyAdmin. That was for the benefit of anyone else searching the forums looking to do the same thing, not an insult to your SQL intelligence. 🙂 🙂

Hi, Ben. I am having the same issue now. I checked the wp_pv_commission table and it exists along with the commission/order. However, it is still not showing at vendor dashboard.

    Hi Joshua,
I answered this question in two other threads you posted in. https://www.wcvendors.com/help/topic/product-orders-not-showing-on-the-front-end/
For future reference, it is not necessary for you to post a question more than once– it can cause confusion.
    Thanks!
