Even in Matt’s plugin I couldn’t get live transactions and commission working. I have everything filled out in the adaptive payments area yet when you go to checkout through paypal it says invalid transaction item. So I have to manually pay out commissions.

    Hi Jason,

This could be a number of issues with regards to your Paypal setup. I can make assumptions as to your setup but if you’re able to tell me more about your setup it might help pinpoint the issue.

Do you have paypal adaptive api credentials setup? I had the invalid transaction item when I was using the wrong API credentials.

On developer.paypal.com create your sandbox creditials for both the primary account and for some test users. Your account has to be a business account it cannot be a personal account. Paypal has changed its API (for the better) and it will take a little while for me to get my head around it to better code and debug issues like this in the future.

I have an issue already outstanding to allow proper PayPal logging so that we can actually get proper errors from Paypal which will help with issues like this.

Double check your credentials and make sure they are correct.

    cheers,

    Thanks Jamie,

I got it fixed… The whole issue is the fact Matt’s Plugin (And your fork at the moment) Both use the Classic API functions. Which with the new paypal dev dashboard you have to pay attention and click on the link on the bottom of the page and create a classic api key… lmao

You guys rock! I never would of thought to look at that 🙂
