    Hi,

I have got my paypal adaptive payments app approved by paypal (autoapproved). I followed the instructions provided by WC Vendors to apply for the app and get it approved.

However, when I try to run a transaction, it is giving me an error: “This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website and try again.”

Also, if I have a look at the url of that page, it seems incomplete (https://www.paypal.com/webscr&cmd=_ap-payment&paykey=)

I have checked and double checked the credentials. I have also checked that all other settings are set properly.

I have also updated all the plugins (woocomm, wcvendors and wcvendors pro).

I tried to use normal PayPal gateway and that worked fine.

Please help! I have been working on this issue for a week and can’t figure out the problem.

Are you attempting to purchase a product from an account that is also owned by you? In other words, do you own both paypal accounts that are being used for testing?
Have you contacted paypal to inquire and see if they can assist?
Is you paypal account that is being used for the Adaptive Payments a Business account? This is required– to have a business paypal account…

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for the reply and the suggestion.

I have checked that I am using two different PayPal accounts to test this. Also, the primary paypal account is a business account.

I have written to paypal and they have asked for:

Would you mind to share the full API request and response?

How do I provide them that?

    Hello,
Unfortunately you really cannot gather that data for them without writing some code to do so.
*sigh* I wsh they would not do that..

Well, since you know you have a business account set up with them, that likely leaves two other options:
    1. paypal has you set up incorrectly
    2. The API credentials are somehow entered incorrectly

Please check again to ensure that the credentials give to you for your adaptive payments account are correctly entered- and set to LIVE.
If so, I am sorry but please implore paypal to assist you with this issue, as we cannot do much form our end with this type of error occurring..

    Hi Anna,

I have checked and double checked the API credentials and even entered incorrect ones – in which case it gives me a different error (incorrect details error). That’s the other reason I know I am entering the correct details.

What do you make of the URL query string that is passed to PayPal – it looks incomplete (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ap-payment&paykey=&Z3JncnB0=)?

When you do a checkout at a fully working wc vendors store, is the query string missing key elements too?
