    Hello there Ben & Jamie!

I would like to know i I should continue adding my own customization to the current Vendor Store templates… or if I should wait. I had previously heavily modified the WC Vendor Free templates to create vendor store fronts with styling and with some functions like a vendor-specific search and vendor-specific categories. It was nice. 🙂 Once Pro came out, however, I’ve to start over and have been trying to re-create those features and design with the Pro store fronts.

Now that I have read that you will be scratching the separate custom store post type & returning to the archive-product php… should I halt the work I am doing right now? I am assuming it will be lost and/or irrelevant once we upgrade to Pro 1.2? ON that same note… do you think that some of the previous work I did with the WC Free may be retrievable (albeit with slight changes) and applicable to the Pro store fronts that will be hooked into the archive-product.php? Or will I have the option of continuing to use the custom post type? Either way… I’m just trying to figure out my best long-term course of action.

Thanks in advance for any help-
    Anna

P.S. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. You two are awesome.

    Thanks Anna. 🙂

I would not customize the vendor storefronts any further. But I’ll ask Jamie to post up here what the actual coding/template plan is for that to give you a better idea of what to expect and what will be retained.

Thank you, Ben. I appreciate your response.
I’ll hold off then for now until I have a better idea of what may be the best route for designing the store fronts. Hopefully there is at least some work I can do for now that can be transferred to 1.2 somewhat, since I plan to open my marketplace very soon.

I look forward to Jamie’s reply.

Now, hopefully y’all can get some sleep! 😉

    Hello,

I am intending to leave the store-header and store-rating templates however the rest will fall back into the woocommerce loop and won’t be needed. There will also be an option to use the free headers or pro headers.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

Thanks, Jamie! That gives me an idea as to what I should continue with and what I should let be for now… since it will not be needed once 1.2 is ready.

Thanks for all of your hard work! It must be a bit frustrating for you to have to revise the custom store stuff that you put so much time and work into.
