I am not techy what so ever. When I try and click on the pro-dashboard link on the homepage under “More” as a vendor, it just brings me back to the homepage. How do I link all of the great stuff in the demo to look the same as on my webpage. I saw some explanations in regards to uploading the template files to the directory but I would need step by step instructions on how to do this. I’m sorry, Please keep in mind I am not savyy with PHP and back end editing. The more details you can give me the better. I am also unclear as to how to “hide” the free dashboard and only have the pro-dashboard as an option for my vendors.

    Please help!!!

    Thank you!

If you click the Pro Dashboard, and it takes you to the homepage, that sounds like your WooCommerce my account page isnt set, or you have other page errors. wp-admin > WooCommerce > System Status — Fix everything that is a problem on that page.

To remove the Free Dashboard, just remove it from your sites menus, dont delete pages. Deleting pages causes all sorts of problems.

    Thank you,

I see that I do have two errors on that page.

Log Directory Writable:   To allow logging, make /home/soosocia/public_html/wp-content/uploads/wc-logs/ writable or define a custom WC_LOG_DIR.

    and

MaxMind GeoIP Database:   The MaxMind GeoIP Database does not exist – Geolocation will not function. You can download and install it manually from http://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/legacy/geolite/ to the path: /home/soosocia/public_html/wp-content/uploads/GeoIP.dat

Can you provide any links or details on how to make the log directory writable?

Good news, neither of those errors matter for this issue. Bad news, you’re on your own to fix them. Goooooooogle will help on them, all pretty common stuff.

For your other issues, you really just need WordPress 101 training. Running a marketplace is not incredibly easy, it takes wordpress + woocommerce knowledge for the front end of your website, and for the back-end too for configuring your theme and making it look pretty. We’re here to help you when there’s a bug in WC Vendors, but running your website is up to you.

Our demo server is pretty simple — It’s nothing more than WordPress + WooCommerce + WC Vendors Free + WC Vendors Pro. No design tweaks, no config tweaks, just all default options. Replicating our demo server should be rather easy. 🙂
