Hi, we are currently adding a multi vendor store onto our website.

On the home page we would like to add a widget that will display “featured” products. Ie. on every product our vendors add, there should be the option for us (the site admins) to make it a “featured” product. This option should only be available to admin – not to the individual vendors uploading their products.

    Problems:
Problem 1. The shortcode for displaying featured product by vendor is not working even though the product is already set as featured. shortcode use: [wcv_featured_products vendor=”vendor1″]
the above code doesnt display the featured product that is set for vendor1

Problem 2. Vendors are still being allowed to check the product as featured, even though we already checked the box that should remove it as a vendor option in WC-vendor > Products > Miscellaneous > checked Featured.

    Can you please advise?

    Hello,
First thing- you’ll want to fix this:
Pro Dashboard Page: ✕ -Your pro dashboard page cannot be set to your free dashboard page. Click here to change.

    1. Make sure you are using the username. Not the vendor store name. So, if my username on your site is anna wcv and I have a shop named AnnasStuff, you would put”anna-wcv” in the shortcode.

    2. If you use the Pro dashboard they should have no access to this at all. Only in the free dashboard wp-admin > add product would they have this access.. but I will sure check on that permission and test to see if I am experiencing the same issue.

    Hi Anna,

Thanks for your response. We’re still having issues though:

Problem 1 – The shortcode we gave as example is already using the the username (“vendor1”) – but still the featured product is not showing using the shortcode. Can you please assist with urgency on this.

Problem 2 – please advise the status of your test? please let us know what we should be giving vendors access to and how?

    Thanks

Also, there was no link under “click here” at the beginning of your response (“Pro Dashboard Page: ✕ -Your pro dashboard page cannot be set to your free dashboard page. Click here to change.”) Please can you provide the link

1- I am not sure then why this is not working. I’d need to see this myself to look at what is happening. Please provide an admin login & password in a private reply so I can look at what you have on the page.

2- Nope, the vendors do not have access to this if they are using the Pro Dashboard. You need to guide your vendors to the proper dashboard- the pro dashboard.

Which would bring us to question #3..
You need two dashboard pages set in your admin. One for WC Vendors free.. with this shortcode on it: [wcv_vendor_dashboard]
And other page, with this shortcode on it:
    [wcv_pro_dashboard]

Both need to be parent pages. even though you will not use the WC Vendors free dashboard, it needs to be created. You just to not have that dashboard page in your menus or links.

Direct your vendors to the url for the PRO DASHBOARD in your menus and links. Make them use the Pro dashboard.

    Hello,
What page on your site are you placing the shortcode for the vendor’s featured items?
