    Hi WC Vendors staff,

sorry if this not the forum to ask this “pre-sales” question. I want to build a system that allows vendors to offer their products but also that “holds” payments until a minimun of buying operations for any product is reached. Let’s say a vendor sells apples: he/she publish a “2,5 kg of apples” product but only wants the system to process the orders if, at least, 10 units of this product are requested (25 kg of apples following my example).

So, can I “hold” the money from the clients until the minimun amount of orders is reached, and process the transactions afterwards?

Any idea if payment gateways will apply a fee for this capturing funds function in the event the product does not reach the minimum amount of orders and the money “on-hold” is returned?

    Regards,
    Eduardo

    Hello,
I am sorry but I do not know of any payment processor that will allow delays/holds of funds in this fashion. Certainly at this time neither of the two that we use for instant splitting of commissions at checkout (PayPal Adaptive and Stripe Commission & Gateway plugin – ours – )will hold funds in any fashion.

If you can find a woocommerce compatible gateway/processor that will do this, it might work with the vendors and commissions- but it might also require further customization for commissions to calculate properly with this set-up.
