NOTICE: We've Moved to a Ticket System for Support

    when a product is marked as ‘shipped’ by the vendor, was it not supposed to ‘update’ the status in the admin too?

    what is the use of changing status to ‘completed’ by admin? i thought once a product has been shipped/delivered, the order is completed, right?

    Not a feature request but maybe for possible customization. Can we add the option for the vendor to mark an order as ‘completed’. For e.g, on my site, the buyer chooses to pay on delivery on check out. In order for my commission to be ‘valid’, i need way to make sure that the buyer has gone to the retail store and has actually paid and bought the product.

    The reason why the order status is not updated is because there might be more than one vendor in the order. This is why currently the admin / shop manager has to complete the order.

    I will be adding a setting that will automatically mark an order complete when all vendors have marked their part of the order as shipped. This will also be the case for digital downloads.

    There is some underlying work that we are starting on the free version that will completely change how we manage orders on a per vendor level but that work has only just begun and will take considerable effort to integrate and complete.

    i have only vendor. and i confirm that there was only 1 product/vendor in the order. I checked it again with a new purchase and new customer and NO it’s not updating in the admin area.But, the status in vendor dashboard is marked as shipped

    Hello,

    WC Vendors does not change the status of the order and will not change the status of the order. There will be an option in pro soon to auto complete orders when everyone has marked as shipped but right now you have to manage the completion of the orders in the admin.

    Just because there is only one vendor in the order doesn’t change the fact that multiple vendors can be in an order which means without confirming all items are shipped the status will not be changed.

    Auto completing orders will be a feature in a later release of pro though, so keep an eye out on our changelog for when the feature is added.

    Can you suggest a way to know when a product has been shipped by the vendor? in other words, in order to process any commission due, i need to be sure that the vendor actually shipped the product.

    Hello,

    On the orders table screen that lists all the orders if you hover over the truck icon it’ll have a tick next to vendors that have shipped their product.

    You could write some custom code that could check orders that have been shipped and then create a report so you would know which have been shipped and which haven’t.
