    Hi Guys,
    Fantastic job on the plugin.

I wonder if you can help!? Does the pro come with some means of messaging/inbox function?

So if a person has a question about a particular product, they can email them within the system?
If the vendor then replies, it appears in the other persons inbox?

    I hope that makes sense!?

    Kind Regards,

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

There’s two ways you can integrate this:

1.) BuddyPress — Freeeeee! The private messaging system gives your members the ability to send sellers and buyers messages via your website. Works very well, and search this forum and the KB for BuddyPress and you’ll see a lot of code snippets to integrate stores into profiles and all sorts of neat stuff.

2.) WooThemes Product Enquiry – $ – Just install and it just works, we automatically integrate with it. Buyer sends seller a message, vendor gets message via email and can communicate with the potential buyer.

    Hi Ben,

Many thanks for the swift reply!

Do you know if either of those creates an ‘inbox’ within the account anywhere? So rather than just pinging an email direct to the person, it shows a record somewhere?

I figured if I were to payout, I could use Gravity Forms too, problem being, it doesn’t offer an inbox for to show the email chain

    Cheers

BuddyPress uses a complete private messaging system with an inbox, a sent box, and much more. If you click my name on this forum post, you’ll see BuddyPress in action.

    Cheers

    Hi guys! (shameless plug alert!)

    I’m Joshua, co-founder at TalkJS: https://talkjs.com.

It’s a messaging service for marketplaces, solving exactly this problem. One of our early customers mentioned WC Vendors (since they also use it) and how the community might be interested! We’re currently implementing TalkJS with some of Europe’s coolest marketplace companies.

Check our live demo or have your devs look at the docs. Shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to implement and start playing around. Get in touch if you’re interested!

    Thanks,
    Joshua
