When a vendor gets logged in the admin panel from the backend, the vendor cannot view the orders generated for the products of that vendor.
I have installed a plugin “User Role Editor” through which i have assigned capabilities to a vendor. The vendor has been assigned to manage orders. But when i click on the “Orders” tab, it shows “No orders”.

User Role Editor is the problem. Reset all capabilities & roles and uninstall that plugin.

If i reset all capabilities & roles and uninstall that plugin, i wouldn’t be able to show the orders from the backend admin panel. My requirement is that each vendor would manage his profile, store settings and orders from the backend admin panel.

Please make a way out for this problem!

Aah, I see what you mean now. My apologies, I read your first post incorrectly.

Vendor reports in the back-end are currently not working, because WooCommerce removed a lot of their reporting classes recently. There’s an open GitHub ticket to track this issue:

    https://github.com/wcvendors/wcvendors/issues/101

We’ll hopefully have this fixed in an upcoming release.

Sir, i am not talking of reports. I am talking of list of product orders. Whenever a order is generated, the vendor must have the ability to change its order status.

In other words, i want the same functionality as it is provided in the woocommerce menu in the admin panel of wordpress. I want the same functionality in the vendor admin panel in backend.

Unfortunately, that type of functionality is not possible with WC Vendors. You could experiment with the shop manager permissions but that might get messy and allow vendors to edit all other vendors orders too. WC Vendors was not designed to do this at all.

When logging into seller account, i cannot view the store of the seller.
When i click on “VIEW YOUR STORE” tab, it redirects to a page ‘sitename/shop/store_name’.
But there isn’t any page of this name, so it automatically gets redirect to 404 error page.

“with some error” — That doesnt really help me much. 😉 You do need a PayPal Adaptive account, approved by PayPal, with your Business Verified account, and all the correct flags for it to work.

What version of WooCommerce and WC Vendors are you running? It sounds like there’s a permissions problem somewhere on your server. If it’s saying /sitename/shop/storename then it’s not reading variables from a PHP file correctly.

Can you show me the URL of your site?

You need to be running the current version of WooCommerce. 2.2 is old. 2.3.7 is current. Please update to the latest Woo and WordPress 4.1.1.

And then, please tell me what the error actually is. “with an error” is not an error message that helps anyone diagnose anything. 🙂

This is the error message, that i am getting when redirected to paypal “This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient’s website and try again.”

Thanks ben, Adaptive paypal is working now. It was some problem of API.

    Thanks a lot!

Ben, I have updated the woocommerce to its latest version, and the vendor shop redirection problem has solved. Thanks for your guidance

Another requirement is that, is there a way that the user visits the vendor store and leaves comment for vendor. I am not talking about the comment on product page. I want a comment functionality on the vendor store page. how can we have this?

    Hi Debobrato,

Glad that fixed everything. WC Vendors will *always* require the latest version of WooCommerce and WordPress. We do not write backwards compatibility for old versions — it’s waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much work to support old software. Woo tends to change a lot in each revision, we cant have twenty different ways of things working just to accommodate that. 🙂

So on to the vendor store and leave a comment – We are writing a Vendor Feedback / Rating module for WC Vendors Pro — which is not out and wont be out for a few months. In here, purchasers of products will be able to rate their transaction and leave the vendor feedback.

If you only want “comments” for a vendor, then this probably is not what you’re after. You’d have to find a separate plugin that allows this and customize it so it works on the vendor pages, or write one that does the same. I’m not aware of any off the shelf plugins that would do this…. Although I’m fairly sure some exist out there that could do it.

    Hello,
Are you using WC Vendors free only, or are you also using WC Vendors Pro?
Could you share your WooCommerce System Status, please?
wp admin > woocommerce > system status > get system report > copy for support
