Hello Team, I notices some punctuation and spacing issues and was wondering if you could help me get rid of it.

    1. Homepage
On the homepage, underneath the image, where it says ‘sold as:’ there is no spacing afterwards, which looks not nice, especially on the front page (see screen grab 1.) I tried to take it out in settings but the spacing would not show, resulting in ‘sold byAlastair Murray’.

    2. Checkout
I noticed there is a punctuation twice at the checkout window, see screen grab 2.

(Note, I did try to correct the spacing after sold by: in settings. I took the : out but then noticed that all the meta data shown uses a : so I put it back in. Only then did I noticed a double :: after ‘sold by::’ at checkout. I don’t know if there is a connection)

    Can we fix that please?

You can tweak the Sold by text on the general WC Vendors Settings tab, so if you need to add spaces, smiley faces, whatever, go for it! 🙂 That’s a new feature for WC Vendors v1.8.3 (I think it was that version) so if you didnt notice it before, it’s because it’s new! 🙂

Thats great, but the spaces don’t show. Or is there a trick as how to enter a space after sold by: other than hitting the space bar? Its still shows up on the front page all squeezed together. And why does it use doubel :: at checkout?

Hmm. I’m thinking Jamie broke that. I’ll have him triple check this one out. 🙂 A space can be   for HTML, so add that as many times — all 6 characters — to equal one space. I’m not certain this will work, but worth a try.

    Hi, regarding sold by::

I am experiencing exact same “sold by::” (little) issue

Can seem to find where to fix this in the code… class “variation-Soldby” ?

Was nice to see in FREE v1.8.6 the added feature to change this label, but it does not recognize trailing spaces, and does not seem to carry across to the order confirmation screen, or email confirmations… still get SOLD BY on the these.. even though I changed the label in Settings (hard-coded in?).

p.s. I also get a SHIPPING entry on my order email confirmations, event though all products are downloadable/virtual products and I have all Woo shipping disabled.

    thanks – GARRY

    Hello

The extra : on the cart and checkout pages is because woocommerce 2.5 added that to their templates for some reason. In the next version of free I have fixed the spacing issues and the extra : by removing it from our label.

I have also fixed the issue with the emails in the upcoming release of free as I missed one of the label references.

    cheers,

    Jamie.

    Hello Jamie,

    1.
I was wondering if there is an update on the sold by:: situation? I believe my versions are up to date but it is still there.
(it is the same on your WC Vendors website here on checkout it says sold by::)

    2.
Sold by:without space also still remains

    3.
This is a design issue I noticed, happy to open a new topic if you want to, but until then I just gonna post it here. On the checkout page, where you have the payment summary window to the right, when you scroll down, it starts to overlap with the footer, causing the fonts to overlap.
Could that be resolved maybe by not making the background of the box transparent?
    Please see screen grab attached.

    Thanks Jamie,
    Kris

    Hi Kristin,

#1 & #2 are fixed, ready for the next release of WC Vendors Free. WooCommerce changed their output in v2.5.0 and did not announce it, caught us off guard on that one. 🙂

#3 — That’s nifty. It’s a theme issue for sure, we don’t control the checkout pages at all. But I might point out it only overlaps the footers if you scroll WAY past the fields to enter data for the order in. If your theme has an option for “Distraction Free Checkout” then you may want to enable it, as this will often remove footers/headers and increase checkout conversions. Not all themes have that option, but if yours does, give it a go! For a permanent fix, the theme author is the guy to check with.

Hello, it looks like the sold by:: issue still remains in different places on the page. I have added screen grabs.

First, I noticed it on the basket area at checkout, it still says ‘sold by::’
Secondly, I noticed it in the order confirmation email, where it also says ‘sold by::’

    Is that fixable 😉 ?

    Many thanks

Go through your WC Vendors General settings. You can change the sold by text there. 🙂
