Sorry for double post but can’t edit first one, I wanted to ask also if there was a way to import cvs files from other marketplaces?

Upgrading to Pro is easy, and no info is lost.
There are just some new configurations to set up, but all info from free is retained.

    CSV imports– kind-of.
You can use a woocommerce importer and assign the products to a vendor. Here is one such importer: https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-csvimport/

Also– WC Vendors free is not uninstalled/ deactivated.. you keep it active – you run free and Pro simultaneously. 🙂

Thank you for the reply back, and the cvs importer is what I am looking for I wanted to know if I could enable it on sellers account so they could do the import on their own store. Also does Free or pro version have a vacation setting to deactivate a store from seller side.

As far as I am aware, the admin needs to upload the CSV products. and then assign them to the vendor. Hopefully in the future we’ll have a more complete integration.
Not in WC Vendors Free…. WC Vendors Pro does have a vacation mode, but without custom code it does not disable the ordering of products; it displays a message banner at the top of the store and product pages of that vendor, showing the text that the vendor has entered for their vacation mode message.
We do have code here that can make this disable to add to cart button.. it works with MOST themes: https://www.wcvendors.com/kb/remove-add-cart-vacation-mode-enabled/

@Anna thank you for getting back to me, I was in need of a importer in which vendors could add their own products from other marketplace sites like Etsy and so forth. I think what you are mentioning is that the admin can import a csv file and assigned to a specific vendor.

Back to double posting got to love that lol

With the vendor payment how does that process work, does all the money go through the admins account and the vendors request a payment, or can the admin bill each vendor for the services used that month?

I was also wondering about a contact email to the developers of WcVendors.

    @alland
Imports– there is not a direct importer at this time that will import products from another venue directly to WC Vendors and work properly. The admin needs to assign the products to the vendor, and the importer needs to be WooCommerce compatible so that the products are properly formatted for WooCommerce.

For payments– it depends on which payment processor/gateway that you use, and what settings you choose.
For PayPal Adaptive Payments (set to INSTANT) or Stripe Commission & Gateway (our plugin here: https://www.wcvendors.com/product/stripe-commissions-gateway/) , the vendors receive their commissions at checkout and admin receives their portion also at checkout. If another method is used, then admin first receives all customer payments, and then later pays the vendors their due commissions.

For contact– you can ask any questions here.. if you have specific need of a private discussion let me know and I can provide you with my email contact in a private reply. 🙂

I was looking into the PayPal adaptive since that is going to be the main payment method and I wanted to ask a business question so I private reply with an email address would be great.

    Hello,
Unless you have a specific question for custom work– please post your questions here regarding paypal adaptive payments. I will answer your questions. You can set the reply as a Private Reply by checking the checkbox above the submit button that says “Set as “Private Reply” (only you and admin will see it since you are the one who started the forum topic) if you do not wish for the details to be seen by other users. Only Ben, Jamie myself and you will be able to view private replies to forum topics that you opened/started.

I was looking around your site and decide to use your plugin over the others that were available. I would like to to know if you would like to trade off for the WCVendors Pro. I own and run a web hosting advertising forum called http://host-hunters.com that does and average of about 1400 unique hits a month, I not a whole lot but a good amount. I would like to propose a 200 x 200 ad in the side bar for the life of the marketplace site, Host-Hunters has been open for almost 3 years now. I usually charge $10 a month for this spot since it’s on the top of the forum and seen frequently. As stated I would put your ad above the others there to give you maximum views as well I would post something on the forum about the plugin, once I get the new site setup. That site is being done by my wife and I it’s is all about vendors selling only handmade items. Please let me know if this interests you at all.

    Thank you
